Hi,

This is Brooks Palmer,

And welcome.

It's good to be here with you.

I was thinking about,

You know,

I've heard about how it's good to love your body,

There's books about that,

Sometimes people talk about it,

The importance of loving your body,

And I think that's a good thing,

I think that's a really good thing.

I was thinking something additional on top of that,

And I thought that would be a really good thing to take a closer look at today,

And that's how much our bodies love us.

You know,

We're born with these bodies,

And they do so many things for us,

And we never have to ask,

And we never have to go,

Hey heart,

Could you beat,

You know,

Or hey lungs,

Can you breathe?

They're just constantly working for us.

And for me that means our bodies love us,

You know,

For something relentlessly doing things for the benefit,

You know,

Our bodies relentlessly doing things for the benefit of us.

No questions asked.

Constantly.

There's love there,

That's pure love.

And,

So I thought it would be great to do a meditation where we take a deeper look at this,

And I think this could have a really positive effect,

So I'd like you to join me if you'd like in this meditation of how much our bodies love us.

So find a comfortable place to sit,

Or to lie down,

And then close your eyes.

And feel your breath come in,

And then your breath goes out.

The breath comes in,

The breath goes out.

Your body's spontaneously,

Automatically breathing you.

Your body breathes in,

Your body breathes out.

And there's peace of mind in that.

Wow,

My lungs are doing this for me.

I never ask,

Can you breathe me?

They're just breathing me.

They're giving me the gift of life.

Even when I'm not thinking about it.

Even when I'm sleeping.

So I'd like you to take a few moments to notice that love with each breath in and out.

The love from your lungs.

And spend a little time basking in that love.

And now,

If you want,

You can put your hand on your heart.

And feel the heartbeat.

And notice that constant beat.

You can count on that heartbeat.

There's another organ in your body,

Relentlessly working for you,

For your well-being,

So you can experience life.

This organ,

Your heart,

Pumps blood through your entire body.

From the veins,

The capillaries,

Through the organs.

Nourishing oxygen-filled blood.

Your heart and your lungs working together because they love you.

They'll do anything for you.

So take a few moments to notice,

Again,

You're using a curious eye to take a look at the love that your heart has for you.

And see how it feels.

Now,

I'd like to ask you to put your attention on your brain.

You can put your hand up there or just think about your brain.

What an amazing instrument the brain is.

It's just incredible.

And your brain is working for you,

Again.

So you can think,

So you can process information,

It allows you to experience all the senses.

So many things that the brain does.

And it's just working for you.

Your brain's like,

Oh,

I'm working for six other people too.

No,

It's just you're the only one that it cares about.

And it does so much for you.

It allows you to do so many things,

Innumerable things.

And it truly allows you to experience your life.

So take a few moments to notice the love that your brain has for you by what it does.

Now,

I'd like to hear that.

I'd like to ask you to put your attention on your skeleton from the tip of your toes to the top of your skull.

Your entire skeleton,

Your entire skeletal system.

And what an,

Again,

Another amazing piece of your body,

Or pieces,

You know.

Your skeleton allows you to stand.

It allows your body to,

You can move about.

I mean,

There's so many things,

I mean,

I don't have to go into the details of what your skeleton does,

But it's,

If you didn't have a skeleton,

You couldn't experience life.

You couldn't be you.

And so I'd like you to take a few moments to put your attention on your skeleton and the love that it has for you by it being present.

And not on top of that,

It's grown with you as you've grown from a little baby to an adult,

If you're an adult now.

It's grown with you and it's provided such tremendous support.

And that support is love itself.

And I'd like to encourage you to take a curious look at that love,

To feel that love from your bones.

Now we won't be going through every organ in your body,

Every part of your body,

So this last part we're just going to include the bulk of everything else,

Which is quite a lot.

All the cells in your body,

The skin,

All the organs,

Your eyes,

Circulatory system,

Muscles,

Tendons,

Ligaments.

I'd like you to feel the love that they have for you,

The support and love,

The constant working for your well-being,

For your experiencing life,

To spend some moments feeling the love.

We can just include everything,

Everything we've talked about in the rest of the body,

To bask in that love.

You're so lucky to have so much love in your life.

And this is something you can do at any time,

You know,

Close your eyes and reflect on this love that your body has for you.

And sure,

Sometimes your body hurts or gets tired,

That's natural.

Sometimes we get sick,

You know,

That happens,

That's part of being a person.

These bodies are vulnerable,

But even still they still do everything they can to support you and give you life.

So we're going to end our meditation now.

Maybe spontaneously here and there during the day this will come back to you,

That you live within such a great amount of love every day.

I mean,

There's evidence right there,

Right within you of how much you're cared for and loved.

But thank you for spending some time with me and I wish you the best.
