Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but the willingness to move with it. Fear, uncertainty and excitement are very closely related feelings. And when we can tap into the moments of uncertainty and re-train our default into recognizing that uncertainty is an opportunity for possibility rather than a danger signal, we have the power to step into a life that is unstoppable. You are not trying to eliminate fear. You’re reminding your system who is actually in charge. Royalty free meditation music used with permission :)

Welcome to your alignment visualization,

The courage to step forward.

Find a comfortable place to sit for a reflection and your practice.

Close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you and begin to settle in.

Courage isn't the complete absence of fear.

Being courageous is having the ability to recognize that something matters more than letting the fear hold us back.

When you notice fear bubbling up within you before taking a risk,

What you're likely feeling is uncertainty.

And uncertainty activates the same neural circuits as excitement.

So when we feel uncertain to try something new,

Speak up for ourselves,

Or put ourselves out We have an opportunity to rewire our nervous system's learned idea that the uncertainty being mistaken as fear is really excitement for the possibilities of what can come next.

This practice helps you rewire that interpretation,

So stepping forward becomes a skill,

Not a risk.

We're not here to battle the fear,

But to connect with the strong,

Stable core within.

That leads us to taking more courageous steps towards the life we want to align with.

Let's begin by taking a few deep,

Calming breaths.

Take your time,

There's no rush.

Invite your body to soften into this moment,

Releasing the excess tension from your head,

All the way down to your toes.

Rest your awareness in the center of your chest,

And feel your breathing there.

Bring to mind something that you want to do,

Big or small,

But hesitation has held you back.

Or maybe you can call to mind a moment where you were on the edge of action,

But for some reason,

You felt fearful or uncertain about moving forward.

And when you think of this thing that you want to do,

Or you were on the verge of doing,

Notice what arises within you when you think of this uncertainty.

And if you feel anything in the body,

A tightness,

A shift in breathing,

Feelings of trying to figure it all out,

Just remind yourself that you're simply observing the body,

Preparing for possibility.

And this is your internal signal that something matters.

Let's see if you can begin to let the label of what you're feeling shift a little bit.

Imagine that this very sensation,

This tightness,

This uncertainty,

Is not fear,

But activation.

This feeling is momentum that is preparing to begin.

It's not your body saying,

Stop.

It's your body saying,

Pay attention.

Something important is here.

Breathe into that shift of perspective,

As if you're clearing space around the sensation,

Letting the sensation soften and open a little more.

Your breathing is not fighting the feeling,

But it's partnering with it.

So breathe into the feelings of uncertainty.

Now imagine placing this moment of activation on a table in front of you.

Begin to observe it from a little more distance.

And ask yourself,

If uncertainty wasn't driving my decisions,

And fear didn't hold me back,

What would this activated energy want me to do?

No need to answer quickly.

Just let the question sit in the space of your breathing,

As you observe the energy sitting on this table in front of you.

Sometimes courage is simply creating space between a sensation and our interpretation of it.

Let that space widen between you and the activated energy.

Shift your attention now to a steady part of you.

The part of you that has navigated uncertainty before.

That part of you that has made tough decisions,

Solved problems,

And survived challenges,

No matter how big or small.

Feel the proof that you have stepped into courage before,

And you've made it through.

Sit a little bit taller.

Breathe a little bit deeper.

And embody the confidence of your courageous self.

On your inhales,

Acknowledge,

I've done hard things before.

And on your exhales,

Remind yourself,

I can do this too.

Settle into the steadiness as you breathe.

I've done hard things before.

I can do this too.

Picture yourself standing at the edge of a moment that matters.

A conversation,

A decision,

Showing up in new ways.

Feel the familiar activation rise,

Like you felt before.

And even with that activation,

Watch yourself take one small step forward.

Just one.

Now imagine stepping into the version of yourself who moves forward despite discomfort.

Not recklessly or impulsively,

But with intention and awareness.

Notice the shift of directed energy,

And let it become fuel instead of friction.

Let that image imprint itself into your system.

You are the person who steps forward in the face of uncertainty.

Take a slow breath in,

And imagine that breath powering that forward motion.

And take a slow breath out,

And let your body memorize the feeling of stepping into alignment,

Rather than retreating.

And with the forward momentum of your breathing,

Say these powerful phrases to yourself.

When I feel fear,

I take a step anyway.

I step forward with courage and strength.

And I am becoming masterful at making courageous decisions.

Take a final deep breath in,

And a long breath out.

And remember this.

Courage isn't the absence of fear,

But the willingness to move with it.

As you move back into your day,

Remember that the things that make you feel uncertain are a beautiful opportunity to practice stepping into your courage over and over again.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Thank you for practicing with me today,

And I look forward to our next meditation together.

Thank you so much! It is exactly what I needed! Now I’m anticipating about what happens after my small first step forward. May be nothing, but I’ve made a step. Thank you for pauses in meditation, it gives a time to get answers. Blessings!
