When what you built, relied on, or identified with falls away, it can be seen as an invitation into a truer relationship with who you are. When we lose something, or even parts of ourselves, through challenges or burnout, there is an opportunity on the other side to reset. This is your moment to rebuild your foundation, with a new understanding of yourself. Please be gentle with yourself every time you start over again. Welcome to your meditation practice,

Starting over again.

There are moments in life when something crumbles.

A role,

A relationship,

A vision of the future or even the version of ourselves that knew how to stay in a rhythm that's now no longer working for us.

Neurologically and emotionally,

After this kind of collapse happens,

We often move out of the brain's doing and surviving circuits and into a more reflective,

Integrative state.

Trying to make sense of what we've lost or looking to figure out what to do next.

It can feel disorienting and uncomfortable or maybe even empty.

But it's also the state where we get to start again.

It's where deeper meaning and reorientation happen.

It's where identity change becomes possible.

So if you've lost something or you feel like you've lost parts of yourself,

It's not a failure.

It may just be a threshold that needs to be crossed.

And this meditation is an invitation to meet what comes after the collapse.

And remember,

You can start over any time.

Any time of day,

Any time of the year and any time in your life.

Let's start over again together.

Get comfortable for your practice and let your eyes close or soften.

Start to allow your body to settle into stillness and invite your breath to start to slow down.

You have arrived.

It may have taken a lot for you to get here but you're here.

Give yourself a moment to recognize your efforts and thank yourself for carving out a little bit of time just for you.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and a longer breath out through your mouth.

Again,

In and a slow breath out.

Let the rhythm of your breathing become natural and easy,

Settling into what feels comfortable.

As we practice this meditation,

Know that there's nothing you need to fix,

Nothing to solve and nothing to figure out or ruminate about.

This is a moment for arriving where you are,

Starting from this point right now.

Gently bring your attention to your body.

Feel the steadiness of the ground beneath you,

Supporting you as you sit or lay here.

Feel all the contact points where your body is held by the earth underneath you.

Notice the quiet reliability of being supported right now and let that support be enough.

Begin to imagine a wide open space in front of you.

It could be an open field,

A blank page,

Maybe a fresh morning.

There's an emptiness in this place but not empty in a lonely way.

Empty in a peaceful way.

Clean,

Clear and full of hope and possibilities.

This is the space where something new can grow.

Let yourself be here in this openness without needing to build anything yet,

Without needing to decide anything,

What to do next or try and become anything.

Just rest in this openness.

Feel the simplicity of this moment of spaciousness and if there's anything that feels like it's still weighing you down or pulling you back,

Imagine taking that weight off of your shoulders like removing a heavy backpack,

Letting that weight drop behind you without needing to look back.

Feel the lightness of letting go of what you no longer need.

Now begin to feel your feet on the ground as you stand in front of this space,

Feeling the steadiness of this moment no matter what you've had to release behind you.

You are here and you are grounded in the now.

Breathe deeply into this present moment.

Now start to imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet into the earth.

Strong steady roots.

Feel yourself becoming more stable,

More present,

Just being here.

Breathe in the fresh clean air.

Breathe in the brand-new moment.

This is your new foundation,

The place that you will step forward from.

Let presence and newness settle into every corner of your being.

This hopefulness and maybe even a little bit of excitement for what's to come.

Sit up a little bit taller in your body.

Become a little more open in your mind.

You are starting from here.

Invite your awareness into a feeling,

A feeling you are inviting in from this moment forward.

Maybe it's ease,

Creativity or a readiness.

Perhaps a sense of peace or purpose.

See this feeling spark like a new flame of light in the open space in front of you.

Watch as it gently floats around organizing itself.

Arranging in new ways that feel aligned with what's next.

There's no rush.

There's no right or wrong way for it to move through this open space.

Just observe this free-flowing reorganization of energy.

Now let that spark,

That feeling,

Land softly in your heart and begin to breathe into it.

Start to feel this new foundation you are building within.

Feel the steadiness in your heart.

Feel the openness in your breathing and feel the quiet confidence of inviting yourself into an aligned sense of newness.

Start to picture this open space filling with new beauty.

Flowers in the field,

Words on the page,

Joyful experiences in the day.

Just a sense of possibility for what your new space can be filled with.

Take a slow breath in and feel yourself receiving this new beginning.

And take a slow breath out,

Feeling yourself releasing the need to figure everything out right now.

Starting over is a practice,

One that takes time.

It's choosing again and again to meet your life from a truer sense of who you are and what you want to feel.

You are not defined by what you lost.

You are not defined by what ended.

What matters is what remains.

And what remains is not an identity but a presence.

Not a role but a capacity.

Not a story but a becoming.

Let yourself feel the steadiness of your breathing in this present moment.

The quiet constant support underneath the changes.

And know that you don't have to rush to rebuild.

You don't have to immediately make sense of anything.

You don't have to turn the collapse into a lesson yet.

For now,

It's enough to be here.

And to stand on the new foundation of the feeling you are inviting in.

This is where your next chapter will start.

Trust your unfolding.

Trust your timing.

And trust that you are allowed to begin again and again and again.

This space of support and openness is always here for you to return to anytime you need.

Let it live in your heart.

Begin to bring your awareness back into the room.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.

And feel the simple aliveness of your body through your breath.

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

You are beginning again from a wiser place.

And this time,

You get to build your life from a foundation that supports you.

Revisit this practice anytime you need.

I'm always here for you.

And just know that if you lost something or something ended,

It did not take who you are.

It revealed more of you along the way.

You've already begun the process of starting over again.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

And I look forward to another meditation with you soon.

And until next time,

Take good care of yourself.
