
Feel More Positive, Calm, Optimistic

Guided meditation to help you reset, redirect your attention and energy to a more optimistic, positive and uplifting mindset. You might feel a bit negative, stressed and pessimistic. This track will help you to let go of those feelings slightly and shift your energy in mind and body to somewhere more positive and calm.
Transcript
This is your chance to reset,
Redirect your attention and energy to a more positive,
Optimistic and uplifting mindset.
First,
Let's settle into this moment,
To be here and to be present.
I want you to first make sure you're comfortable,
Perhaps feeling your feet on the ground,
Your body in the chair if you're seated.
Or perhaps lying down if that's a position that you're in.
We're going to first start to tune into the breath.
Simply noticing the breath coming in through the nose as you inhale.
And leaving the body through the mouth as you exhale.
Continuing to just connect with the breath,
Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth just in your own time.
Just to settle in to this moment.
And I want you to imagine leaving whatever's happened before this moment at the door.
Perhaps even visualising leaving something at the door,
Coming into the room and the space to sit or lie and be here now.
And try to not focus on what's coming up next.
You've chosen to be here to reset and to give some time to yourself.
So continue to tune into the breath,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your nose now.
Next I invite you to tune into the body.
Perhaps noticing how your jaw feels.
Is your jaw tight?
Just inviting that to loosen.
Often we hold tension in our jaw without noticing.
So just let that go in this moment.
Now move down to your shoulders.
Again perhaps noticing how they feel.
I invite you to roll your shoulders back and down.
Maybe accentuating your breath as you do so.
We're just tuning in to the body.
Allowing the tension to be released from the body.
I next invite you to tune into your hands.
Perhaps relaxing the fingers on your legs or in your lap.
Just gently releasing any tension from the fingers and the hands.
Next I want you to focus on your abdomen.
The middle area,
The belly area.
And just gently invite this to soften as well.
Releasing tension there.
Perhaps now feeling the breath in the belly.
As you breathe out,
Feeling that soften and letting it soften.
And I finally invite you to tune into the feet on the floor.
Relaxing the toes.
Allowing any tension there to gently drift away and relax.
So we're here to let go of any tension,
Any energy that's not helping you today.
You're here to invite positivity,
Lightness and calm into your day,
Into your mind and into your body.
As you've sat here or been here lying perhaps thoughts might have come and gone.
And that's okay.
We don't need to aim to let the thoughts be completely gone from our minds.
The skill is to notice them like clouds passing by and let them drift past.
To acknowledge they are there but to not attach ourselves to them.
We get to choose what we focus on.
So if thoughts come and go in your mind as you have been here or you're here now,
Just imagine they are like clouds.
You can notice them,
Even label them,
Ah that's a thought and imagine it floating by.
Or that's a feeling,
Noting it and imagining that floating by.
Reminding ourselves gently that we can't control everything.
That we think or feel but we can control what we focus on and what direction we decide to take our minds in.
So let's invite positivity and optimism into this moment.
So I want you to bring an image to mind that helps you feel that way.
That helps you feel positive and optimistic.
You may have one,
If you don't maybe it's the sun.
The sunshine makes us feel happy,
Positive.
Maybe it's certain people or a memory.
I want you to hold on to whatever image that is that makes you feel positive and optimistic.
And just build that up in your mind now.
Noticing how you feel as you imagine it and visualize it in your mind.
Maybe even raising the corners of your mouth into a small smile.
Just feeling that positivity and optimism as you focus on that image,
Memory,
Whichever.
Hopefully now feeling calmer,
Lighter in your mind and your body.
I'm next going to invite you to focus on a mantra.
A phrase to help redirect your attention,
Shift your mindset.
And help you in these moments where you want to feel calm,
Positive and a little bit more optimistic.
So I invite you to repeat in your mind the mantra.
I choose to invite peace and reassurance into my day.
I know peace and reassurance will make me feel stronger,
More positive and more optimistic.
I choose to invite to peace and reassurance into my day.
I know peace and reassurance will make me feel stronger,
More positive,
More optimistic.
I chose to invite peace and reassurance into my day.
I know peace and reassurance will make me feel stronger,
More positive,
More optimistic.
Keep coming back to this mantra when you need it.
To invite that peace and reassurance to feel stronger,
More positive,
More optimistic.
Simply notice now how you feel compared to at the start.
And repeat once more,
I choose to invite peace and reassurance into my day.
I know peace and reassurance will make me feel stronger,
More positive,
More optimistic.
Now I invite you to take this energy into the rest of your day.
Notice how you feel now compared to at the start.
And take this energy into the next moment.
Reminding yourself that you have been able to redirect your attention,
Shift your energy and shift your mindset.
So when you're ready gently opening your eyes,
Moving back into the space around you.
Gently moving your fingers and toes and just coming back into the space.
Perhaps taking a few nice breaths before moving into that next moment.
Simply feeling lighter,
More optimistic and calmer.

I really enjoyed this, thank you!! It felt really purposeful and intentional. My only suggestion would be to allow more time during the mantra part to repeat it in our head or say it out loud.

This was great, thank you ! I had a little smile on my face before you even mentioned it :) Towards the end I could hear your amazing smile in your voice which just added to the overall guidance.
