Find a comfortable space on the floor and imprint your body on the earth.

Feel Mother Earth drawing out all the busyness of the day,

All the movement and the running around of games played at lunchtime.

Take time to find your own space.

Begin to feel your body sinking into the earth,

Feeling like a magnet is drawing all your energy into the centre of the earth.

Take your awareness to the rise and fall of your chest as it expands on the in-breath and contracts on the out-breath.

Begin by taking your awareness to the top of the head.

Relax the skull,

The cheeks,

The back of the neck,

The forehead.

Breathe in peace and tranquillity into each side of the body.

Become aware of the right arm,

The right hand,

Each finger on the right hand.

Begin to relax the whole of the right hand and arm.

Then begin to relax the left arm,

The left hand,

The fingers of the left hand,

The whole of the left arm and hand.

Feel the trunk of the body surrendering to the rhythm of your breath,

Allowing oxygen to travel through every cell of your body,

Every organ,

Every muscle and even the cells of the skin.

Take your awareness now to the left leg,

The thigh,

The knee,

The calf,

The ankle,

The left foot and all of the toes.

Now become aware of the right leg,

The thigh,

The knee,

The calf,

The ankle,

The foot and all of the toes of the right foot.

Feel the whole body relax now and let go of any excess energy,

Allowing the earth to absorb everything.

Breathe in lovely calm energy,

Breathe it in.

You feel centred and ready to focus on your learning.

Take time to slowly sit back up,

Stretch and when you're ready,

Come back into the space.
