Close your eyes and breathe deeply.

Concentrate on your breath.

Try to make the in breath as long as the out breath.

In 2 3 4 Out 2 3 4 In 2 3 4 Out 2 3 4 In 2 3 4 Out You are sitting underneath a lush green tree in a beautiful garden.

There is a hammock swinging from another tree.

It is brightly coloured and swaying happily in the gentle breeze.

Underneath the tree is a newspaper that somebody has forgotten to take inside.

Its corners flicker a little in the breeze.

You are holding in your hands one of the brightly coloured flowers from one of the garden beds and there is lush green grass tickling your legs as you sit peacefully underneath this beautiful tree.

This is a lovely garden.

You feel at peace here.

As you sit in the garden observe the vibrant colours all around you.

Feel how happy every part of this natural place is.

As you do this you feel as if you would like to become a part of the garden.

Experience it from another point of view.

Just as you think this something magical happens.

Your body starts to shrink.

Smaller and smaller you become smaller and smaller and smaller.

You are so small now that the flower that you held in your hand is big enough to be an umbrella for you.

Look at your body.

You are bright green.

Oh my,

You have transformed into a grasshopper.

Test out your grasshopper body.

Take a hop.

You fling quickly into the air at enormous speed and float quickly back down to the ground.

What fun.

Do some hopping.

Hop up onto things and then back down.

You feel so free.

Okay little grasshopper,

It's time to have an adventure.

Use your amazing hopping body to spring and float you over to the garden beds.

You spring and float from grass plate to grass plate.

You like the way they bend a little as you spring off them.

Once you're at the flower bed you stand underneath the flowers.

They look like the most beautiful skyscrapers you have ever seen.

They sway ever so gently.

You have amazingly strong legs and it is possible for you to leap straight to the top of a flower.

If you would prefer you can hop carefully up the leaves on the flower stem or just leap up onto the face of a flower.

Off you go.

Wow,

You have landed in the brightest pool of colour you have ever seen.

The bright colour of the flower fills you up and you feel exhilarated.

Make your way to the next flower.

Hop.

Drink in this next colour too.

Hop around the flower tops drinking in the delicious colours.

Feeling refreshed from the flowers you decide that the havoc looks like a fun place to play.

Make your way there now.

Just as you arrive the breeze gently gusts and the hammock starts to swing.

It makes butterflies in your little green stomach and you begin to laugh and laugh.

It is like being on a ride at the fun park.

Enjoy the silly feeling swirling on this hammock.

Laugh and roll around as it sways.

When you have had enough make your way to the edge and hop down towards the newspaper in the grass.

Just as you jump the wind gusts again and the pages of the newspaper flicker and turn over.

You land on a page and look down.

Your green feet look quite cool on the black and white print.

You read the name of the newspaper.

The Happy Times it is called.

This is my kind of newspaper you think to yourself.

You hop over to the picture on the article that you were standing on.

The face in the picture is huge and grinning happily.

You look closely and notice that the face in the picture is actually you.

You are the star of this article.

Read the title of the article.

It is talking about something wonderful that you have wanted to achieve.

Maybe a super test result.

Maybe you got a solo in a dance class or a place that you were after on a footy team.

Whatever this article is about is about you and your future achievements.

Read it and believe it.

You are magnificent like the newspaper says.

You have had such a wonderful time as a grasshopper.

Spend your last time as a grasshopper doing whatever you like here in the garden.

Sadly it is time to come back.

Make your way back to your spot under the tree.

You start to grow again.

Bigger and bigger and bigger you get until you are back in your normal body.

You feel refreshed,

Happy,

Grounded and full of self confidence in your ability to achieve.

When you are ready,

Wriggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch if you need to and gently open your eyes.
