Good afternoon.
Today we're going to do a meditation together.
A way to pause in the middle of the day.
Many of us may have been to work already.
We may have done quite a few things.
We probably had many thoughts.
We talked a lot,
Probably used our electronic devices.
Check the email.
So let's take a moment to let go of a lot of these things.
Before we move into the rest of the day.
We probably have a lot more things to do.
And say and think of.
So an afternoon meditation is a pause.
An intentional moment.
To create space in the middle of the day so we can center ourselves.
We can come back to a place of harmony or peace.
Find a comfortable posture.
Settle in.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
Let's take an inhale together And exhale,
Let it go.
Give yourself permission to release,
To relax.
To surrender.
Again,
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale,
Let go of the past,
Whatever happened before this moment.
Let's do that a few times.
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale,
Release the past.
Whatever happened earlier today.
Again,
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale.
Release the past.
Continue breathing on your own.
Anchoring your awareness in the here and now.
Keeping your eyes closed.
Let's take an inhale together,
Present moment.
And exhale.
Present moment.
Remember where you are now.
Now let's begin to release the future.
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale,
Let go of the future.
Whatever is yet to happen after this moment.
Again,
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale the future.
Whatever's happening later today.
Last time,
Inhale,
Present moment.
And exhale,
Release the future.
Let go of any attachments to what's happening tonight.
Continue to breathe with awareness.
Remembering where you are.
Inhaling the present moment.
This afternoon.
And exhaling,
Anchoring your awareness.
In this safe place.
Whatever happened before this moment,
That's the past.
Past is no longer here.
Whatever is yet to happen after this moment,
That's the future.
The future is not yet here.
In this present moment.
In between the past and the future,
In between.
What happened this morning and what's yet to happen later today.
We are safe.
We are free.
We can recalibrate.
We can find balance.
We can re-energize.
Take an inhale,
Fill the body with breath.
And exhale,
Let it go.
When you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open.
