This is the second in the series on meditation with sound.
If you find this practice helpful,
Then I invite you to make a donation.
Your offering will supply the energy needed to make this series possible.
At the end of the session,
I'll make another reminder.
Thank you.
With the sound of ah,
We connect with the open space of our being.
But that open space is not just empty.
That experience automatically brings with it a feeling of being completely alive.
And because of that,
We feel complete and whole.
So now we come to the second sound in our practice of crystal sound meditation,
The sound of om.
If we feel complete,
Then we are not lacking in anything.
And so we are going to train in being complete.
Usually when we have some open space,
Automatically we want to fill it with something because we habitually feel that we are lacking something.
But if you hang out in that space and stay with it,
You can get a glimpse of this fullness and completeness.
That empty space is full of every possible good quality you can possibly imagine.
We are full of these incredible qualities like unconditional love and compassion,
Joy and equanimity.
These are traditionally known as the four limitless qualities.
We spend our life trying to get enough.
And yet when we get what we want,
Shortly we feel unfulfilled again.
Maybe lots of conditions come together and we get it all just right,
But then there is an edge of fear that we can't maintain that.
All those conditions are impermanent,
They change.
And so we become separated from that.
Why shouldn't you feel fulfilled and complete,
Rich and whole,
Alive all the time?
Why not?
We're trying to fulfill ourselves constantly,
But we're basing our happiness on the outside.
There's just one thing that we have to do,
Or should I say not do?
That is to stop filling the space.
Filling the space blocks the light,
The light can't come in.
We let go and get used to that space in our practice.
And then we have a glimpse of light,
Which is aliveness,
Clarity,
Vividness,
Awareness.
The training in singing the syllable on is training and exploring our completeness.
We are explorers,
But not the kind that go to new lands and conquer and plunder riches.
We are already rich and we are exploring that.
We are on an island of gold already.
Whenever we have thoughts of lack,
Of poverty,
Incompleteness,
Inferiority,
Failure,
We can recognize those thoughts and repeat,
I am complete as I am.
In the open space of mind,
All my qualities are complete.
Even in the course of the day,
We can repeat this to ourselves again and again.
And eventually we're going to start to believe it.
And then we are going to start having openings with light gets in.
So we can do this practice of singing om.
When you have thoughts of lack,
Incompleteness,
Come back to the sound of om.
The sound om cuts through these thoughts.
You bring your attention to the throat,
To the throat chakra.
There you have a red syllable om radiating red light.
Feel the om there and sense that it is radiating red light and making the sound of om.
Keep coming back to the sound of om,
Resting your attention right within the sound.
The sound of the crystal bowls also provides a support for you.
As further support for your practice,
You have the clear blue sky above and in the sky is the bright brilliant sun.
When you open,
Then those qualities which we were born with naturally and spontaneously appear.
There are so many of them.
The main one is compassion,
Which is complete openness and not freezing the space.
At the beginning,
You might experience a big release like you have let go of something blocking you,
But then you may not know how to deal with that space,
That opens.
We usually fill it with something right away,
But stay there.
Don't freeze it.
Train in the completeness of the fullness and aliveness of being who you are.
Experience yourself fully.
Don't be afraid of yourself.
You can do it.
The space opens up and then you stay there and stay with the fullness of that space.
Don't let somebody else be your only light.
You are the light independent of whether or not they are around.
Sing the syllable on and feel your completeness.
Train in that richness.
In short,
Sing the syllable om and rest your awareness right within the sound of om.
Protect yourself further by keeping that red om at your throat,
Which is radiating red light and vibrating with the sound of om.
The sun is also blazing in the deep blue sky.
Imagine that.
Sing as loud as you like and feel the fullness of the sound of om.
All your thoughts of poverty and incompleteness are seen and as they appear and you sing the sound of om,
Return again and again to om.
Let the sound of the alchemy crystal singing balls,
Clear and pure,
Mix with the sound of your voice.
Let them mix and dissolve together as one.
You can really get into it.
Dive into both and trust yourself.
Take a leap and go beyond and leave the poverty realm behind.
Feel your energy.
That energy is unceasing,
Isn't it?
Feel your aliveness.
Get into it.
Stay there in the open space.
Don't look around for something else.
That openness is the energy that is that open space is changeless.
And there is the unceasing flow of energy,
Which is us.
