Blessings.

This is Brenda Cary.

It is my honor to guide you through this closing ritual meditation.

Begin by allowing your body to settle wherever you are.

Let the ground support you without effort.

Feel the weight of your body being held either by the floor,

A chair,

And the earth beneath you.

There is nothing you need to figure out in this moment.

Allow yourself to arrive here.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through the nose,

And a gentle exhale through the mouth.

And again,

Inhale,

Receiving.

Exhale,

Releasing.

Now bring your attention inward to this present moment.

This season,

This chapter,

This version of you right now has held lessons that didn't always announce themselves.

Some arrived quietly.

Some came through friction.

And some lessons only reveal themselves in hindsight,

Without needing to name them just yet.

Sense what stays with you from your lived experience.

Let yourself honor what remains.

Silently,

You acknowledge,

I see what I have been through.

I honor what is asked of me.

Allow that recognition to land softly in your body.

Continuing to breathe deeply.

Now gently turn toward what is ready to be released.

Not in a dramatic way,

And definitely not by force,

But with care and honesty.

Perhaps it is an identity you have outgrown,

Or a role you've been carrying out of habit.

Maybe it's a story about who you needed to be in order to belong,

Or survive,

Or succeed.

No need to judge it,

For it once served a purpose.

Simply notice what feels complete.

What feels settled in your body.

What no longer belongs to the next season of your life.

On your next exhale,

Softly open your hands,

As a gesture to loosening your grip.

With a silent prayer of thank you,

I release.

Thank you.

I release.

Feel the space that this creates.

Not emptiness,

But open spaciousness.

Now bring your awareness to that sense of openness.

Feel it settle in your body and breath.

Allow this to be an invitation to rest,

Without needing to know what comes next.

It's an invitation to trust,

Knowing that something is already stirring.

Something unnamed,

Unknown,

But not rushed,

And unfolding,

Guiding you from within.

Let yourself be here.

In this threshold space,

Between what has been,

And what is becoming.

Your inner wisdom knows how to move forward,

Without being pushed.

Your intuition knows when to speak,

And when to stay quiet and still.

No need to chase clarity.

You are allowed to make room for what wants to emerge.

Take a slow,

Nourishing breath in,

And a long,

Steady breath out.

To seal this ritual,

Bring one hand to your heart,

The other to your belly.

Feel yourself anchored and grounded,

Spirit and body together.

Silently affirming,

I trust the timing of my unfolding.

I carry forward only what is true for me.

Rest here for a few more breaths.

When you feel complete,

Gently open your eyes.

Connect to your body,

In this sacred space you have created for yourself.

This closing ritual is complete.

And so it is.

I found Brenda's new track ideal to use for my meditation practice at the beginning of the new year. Brenda is asking some great questions for reflection and journaling. What is ready to be released? What no longer belongs to the next season of my life? A powerful practice to close off last year and move confidently into the new year. Thank you for sharing, Brenda.
