Hello,

This is Alexa from Breathing Back To You,

And today I'm going to lead you through a 15-minute breathwork practice.

This is an active meditation and may be intense in nature,

But will move any stagnant or heavy energy through your body,

So you'll come out of this practice feeling lighter,

Calmer,

And more connected to your body and yourself.

You may also have a transcendental experience or an emotional or physical release.

This breathwork is designed to remove emotional and energetic blockages in the body so you can fully step into your power and into your body.

First things first,

Please find a comfortable and private space to lie down,

Either on a bed or yoga mat.

It's best to lie flat and to keep your arms and legs uncrossed so energy can freely move throughout your body.

If you can cover yourself with a blanket,

That would be preferable.

Your body may experience temperature fluctuations during this experience.

You may also want to set the space,

Maybe lighting some Palo Santo or a candle.

The idea is to create the space with loving,

Nurturing intention.

Now before we begin,

I am going to describe the breathwork pattern.

We'll be doing this practice mainly with your mouth in a two-part breath,

Inhaling in and exhaling out.

I will guide you through the specific rhythms during the practice,

But feel free to go at your own pace.

And remember,

We are doing this breathwork pattern all through your mouth.

First,

I would like you to put your tongue on the back of your lower teeth and then inhale the air all through your mouth,

All while keeping your tongue on the back of your lower teeth and then release out your mouth.

As you inhale,

Pull up all that air from the root of your body to the very top of your head,

Like you're pulling air up through a straw.

Hold at the very top of your head and then release.

Now let's do it again.

Take a deep inhale and as you exhale through your mouth,

Purse your lips this time and exhale out your mouth as if you're blowing out a candle.

I invite you to go into this practice without any expectations.

Just surrender to whatever may come through and focus on your breath.

The faster you do the breathing pattern,

The more intense your experience may be.

I encourage you to lean into this intensity and discomfort though.

We'll be doing two breathwork sessions with a break in between.

If you'd like to pause the meditation here to set up your space,

Please feel free to do so unless you're ready to go.

Let's go ahead and start with the breath.

Inhale up your belly and exhale out your mouth.

And remember,

The faster you do the breath,

The deeper the experience.

But your only job is to stay with the breath.

In the beginning,

This may feel uncomfortable,

But it'll get easier and your body will eventually drop in.

Right now,

What's usually happening is the mind is fighting to stay in control.

So just keep up with the breath.

Soon the mind will get quieter and quieter.

The body will eventually surrender,

So just keep breathing.

It's common to get lightheaded as well,

But it's short-lived and it'll get easier.

Now let's set an intention.

Maybe offer something you'd like to release,

To surrender.

Talk to your body.

Where are you holding on to any fear?

Where can you create more space,

More expansion?

With each breath,

Transforming any fear into love and awareness.

You may begin to feel energy moving through your body.

Breathe into that space.

Your body knows what to do.

Your body remembers.

So tune in.

You have all the answers you seek inside of you.

Where can you let go of fear and step into deep surrender?

Now take one big breath and hold at the very top and release.

Come back to your normal everyday breath,

In your nose and out your nose,

Letting all that energy settle in your body.

Now we will rest here for about a minute.

Just tune into your body.

As we prepare to go into our final breathwork round,

Tune into your body.

Where else do you feel any heaviness or stagnation?

Come back into that two-part breath.

Are any emotions surfacing?

Any old emotions of sadness,

Anxiety,

Or stuck energy in the body?

Where does it feel like that energy is being held?

Breathe into that space.

You may be feeling discomfort at this point,

So if you feel any need to cry,

Release,

Laugh,

Anything to release any stuck energy,

Please know that it's important to release.

Maybe in the final breath of your mouth,

You make a loud,

Ah.

Maybe even move your arms or your legs.

Make any and all movements that feel good to you to release that energy.

We are almost there.

You are creating space.

Listen to your body,

To your intuition.

Drop into your heart,

Into your body,

Into your energy field.

Who are you without your blocks?

What's possible when you surrender?

How can you give yourself more love?

Feel how powerful you are,

How powerful you already are.

Feel into that authentic power.

We are almost there.

Now,

Very slowly,

Come back to your everyday breath.

Normal exhales through your nose and out your nose,

Letting all that energy settle in your body.

Feel into this space,

This expansiveness,

Knowing that you are capable of anything.

And as you connect with your breath,

Feel into that inner knowing that you are connected to all things,

To all of your desires,

To your inner guidance.

And before we end,

Tune in and ask yourself,

What does my soul really need for me right now?

Any unanswered questions,

Guidance,

Clarity?

And let's take one final deep breath in your nose.

And let's take one final deep breath in your nose and out your nose,

Knowing that this connection is always available to you.

You just have to listen.

You

Powerful breathwork in a petite format. Great for when you don’t have a lot of time but still want to move some energy around!
