A short breath meditation by Elizabeth Morales.

Take a moment to get comfortable and try to settle your body into stillness.

Start by exhaling all of the air out of your lungs and feel your abdomen press towards your back.

Now begin to slowly inhale noticing all the sensations in your body as the air fills your lungs.

Pause slightly at the top of the inhale before a slow measured exhale.

Repeat this a few more times.

Now allow your breath to resume its natural rhythm.

Try to see if you can maintain your focus on the sensations within your body.

It may be particular areas of tightness or tension or it may be the changing sensations of your breath.

You may notice thoughts and other distractions arising.

Know that this is okay.

Simply notice that you have been distracted and then bring your attention back to the sensations within your body.

Rerelaxing your body and simply noticing what is here right now in this moment.

Again as thoughts and other distractions occupy your attention try to without judgment simply return to the sensations in your body and what's present right here in this moment and when you're ready you can open your eyes and return to the room.
