Hello,
Dear friend.
Welcome.
Thank you for joining me.
In this practice that really helps to remind us on what matters the most in this moment.
Sometimes it can be really challenging to stay grounded and focus on what really supports our well-being.
There's so many things competing and demanding of our attention that we lose sight of what's really important in this moment.
And usually it's quite simple.
So for this exercise,
We're going to be using the acronym WIN,
Which stands for What's Important Now.
And this exercise can be applied at any time when we feel overwhelmed,
Scattered,
Or simply maybe we just need to recenter,
Calibrate.
So let's begin here.
And maybe we'll start just by settling into the space of awareness,
Of bringing awareness to our body,
To our breath,
The sense of landing here,
Now,
Arriving here.
Noticing how this moment feels,
How our body feels,
How our mind feels,
How our heart feels in this moment,
Cultivating this sense of awareness.
And then from this place of awareness,
Just dropping this question,
What's important now,
In this space of awareness,
Dropping it into the mind,
Into the heart,
Into the body,
And allowing this question to settle there.
What's important now?
Noticing whatever comes up in this space.
What needs your attention?
What's important now?
Maybe it's simply taking a few more mindful breaths.
Maybe it's giving permission for the body to release and soften.
Maybe it's to step outside of the thinking mind,
To put down any of those thoughts that are demanding of your attention,
And in its place,
Attending to the sounds and the space,
The sound of my voice.
There's no right or wrong answers here.
Really,
The aim of this practice is to reconnect to what matters most to you right here,
Right now.
What's important now?
So the one last step in this practice is to choose a small action based on this.
If presence is important to you now,
How can that be nurtured in the preceding moment?
If ease is important to you now,
Maybe allowing yourself to take a short break.
If there's a task that's very pressing that needs your attention,
Perhaps setting the intention to dedicate the next few minutes of it while giving your undivided attention.
If taking care of your body is important now,
Maybe giving permission to move your body to rest if needed.
So carrying when with you into the preceding moment.
And whenever you remember throughout your day,
Every now and again asking yourself what's important now,
Especially when you notice any frantic energy or that sense of urgency to stop,
To pause,
Reflect,
And to listen,
And then to choose your next step with intention,
With wisdom,
Compassion.
So,
Lovely one,
What's important now?
And what's important now?
Thank you for your presence and your practice.
May your preceding moments be an embodiment of wisdom and compassion and care.
Bye for now,
Sweet one.
