This breathing exercise is designed to create a deep state of relaxation and grounding while also improving energy, focus, and executive function. It is ideal to use this technique multiple times per day, especially when preparing for focused work, meetings, creative activities, meditation, or inner exploration. Finding specific intervals in your routine that you can practice is the most optimal in addition to using it as needed.

Welcome to the Guided Instructions for Breathwork for Inner Peace.

To be honest,

This is actually my favorite breathwork exercise that I've ever come across and taught.

The effects are almost immediate,

And of the thousands of people I've shown and demonstrated this exercise to,

All of them had resoundingly positive feedback.

The key here is to do it for at least 3 minutes and put your full focus on the exercise.

It's simple,

Yet very powerful and effective.

So the instructions are quite simple.

We're going to breathe through the nose twice,

And we're going to exhale through the mouth once.

The key with the exhale is to breathe slowly out through the mouth.

By breathing slowly out through the mouth,

You're activating your parasympathetic nervous response.

This is also known as the rest and digest response in your body,

Which is inherently grounding,

Calming,

Soothing,

And allows you to settle into the present moment,

To settle into your body and be with yourself in a very relaxed and peaceful way.

The double inhale through the nose actually stimulates your sympathetic part of the nervous system,

Also known as the fight or flight,

And this induces better energy,

Concentration,

Executive function,

So you're both relaxed and ready to engage with life.

Whether that be a meeting or a phone call,

A creative exercise,

Or just getting in touch with yourself,

This exercise is highly,

Highly beneficial.

So I'm going to demonstrate twice,

And just make sure you listen for the inhales through the nose and the exhale through the mouth.

It's key here to point out that the double inhale through the nose is broken up into two parts,

And they are not equal.

On the first inhale,

I'm taking in about 70% of my lung capacity.

On the second inhale,

I'm taking the remaining 30%.

So in total,

It's breathing in for 70,

And then again for 30,

And they're breathing out through the mouth.

So now you're going to have a chance to practice this on your own for three minutes.

There'll be some music in the background,

Which resembles harmony and peace,

And I encourage you to give it your all,

And you will,

Without question,

Feel the benefits.

Get in touch with your inner self and feel that deep inner peace that is always within you.

Okay,

Welcome back,

And I hope you enjoyed this breathing exercise.

Please take this energy into the activities of your day,

And remember,

It's always right here.

The peace you're seeking is within you,

Right now,

Nowhere else.

Have a wonderful day.
