Join me in a Buddhist meditation and visualization with the intention of finding peace and discovering the truth of reality. Today's current political climate is nothing short of stressful, anxiety provoking, and simply sad. The fighting we see all around the world can make us question reality, and why things are the way the are. As a Buddhist practitioner, I focus my meditations on the skill of insight and self discovery and the discovery reality. I will guide you through this meditation as we eliminate stress while simultaneously search for the truth.

My name is Bradley and if you've been feeling a little stressed or anxious more than typical recently This meditation will guide you through how to resolve some of that.

I focused on keeping my tone very mono and simple to allow for ultimate concentration through this meditation in today's meditation,

I'll guide you and Allow some relief Allow you to be present with your breath and in this moment So you can begin to come home to yourself and Come home to the true reality.

That is we often find that It's not necessarily obvious But during meditation we can find a peace that is unexplained in words We can find the truth We can find the essence of all being in all existence coming home to the one If you want to call it that From a Buddhist perspective.

There is no one It's unexplainable.

I like to look at it like a static on the TV The static on this TV is in all directions at all times moving with no beginning and no end Constantly changing moment by moment.

This is truth.

And this is true reality Understanding and accepting this will give you peace because You find that things that we hold on to attachments that we have Are all impermanent So let's begin now this guided meditation to help with anxiety Stress and Just to allow you to breathe a little easy for a short amount of time begin By slowly softening your gaze Start to allow things to go out of focus Ideally you're sitting in a quiet room Allowing focus to take the primary aspect of your awareness somewhere where you won't be bothered for the next 10 minutes and As your gaze softens,

I want you to set an intention for this the intention of lowering any anxiety or stress and with the intention of arriving in Buddhism it is talked about arriving to the present moment and that's what we're going to do right now We are going to soften our gaze Let our eyelids slowly close and arrive to this moment feeling all sensations Close on our skin the sights the sounds the tastes the smells Arriving here and now while setting the intention for this guided meditation Now bring your attention to your breath Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose If you can't do that breathing in through the mouth and out through the mouth is fine as well The main point here though is we are not going to control our breath,

But just observe it If you feel like breathing fast be aware that you are breathing fast If you feel like breathing slow be aware that you are breathing slow In and out through the nose Not controlling just allowing the breath to flow naturally and simply being the observer of this a Thought will arise but remember just as quickly as it arises it will pass If you return to the breath bringing awareness to the breath Allows us to exit the mind exit the brain the thoughts that always come across It's been said that our thoughts are like cars passing us on a street There's no need to jump in the car and let the driver take us wherever it wants We simply can watch the car pass Some might move slower than others Some faster than others,

But just let that car let that thought Pass by you like a conveyor belt.

You are simply just watching And when that car passes you return to the breath and do not feel ashamed or frustrated if time goes by Before returning to the breath be kind and generous with yourself and celebrate Coming back to this present moment If you're struggling with concentration,

I also recommend picking one spot of sensation through the nose this could be in the nostrils around the nostrils into the lungs and Focusing just on that one sensation Do not try to broaden your sensation but focus like a laser on a specific part of the breath sensation You are here You are here There is nothing to do There is no one to speak to There is nothing to worry about Just be here with your breath In through the nose and out through the nose in through the nose and out through the nose You are here What a beautiful thing to have this moment What a beautiful thing to have our breath One of my teachers once told me our breath is our oldest friend It is with us the day that we are born and leads with us the day that we pass You can always return to your old friend focus on this breath for a few more moments and Focus on any sensation that you may feel and if you lose concentration,

That's okay.

Come back to that point that laser beam Do that for a few breaths and then return to a more general sensation of the breath through the nose Do this now Thoughts may arise.

You may lose focus.

My voice may become drowned in the background That is okay.

As long as part of you is still aware of the current meditation practice and Now that we're a bit settled I'd like to dive in a little bit deeper To the exercise itself our worries and stresses can sit within our bodies Sometimes it can feel like they're crawling on our skin So I'd like you now to imagine a bucket of water over your head This water is pure clean Glistening and is full of love and light it's slightly thicker than typical water,

But Nothing like syrup or anything of that matter But it's full of minerals which gives it a viscosity that one might not typically see in Let's say filtered water.

I Want you to imagine this bucket of water and what this bucket may look like.

Is it a wooden bucket?

Is it a metal bucket?

Does it have sparkles on it?

Is it made of some unknown material?

The choice is yours this visualization Comes from within And in a moment We will pour this bucket of water over our heads slowly And when we do we're going to wash away any stresses or anxieties But when we pour this bucket of water over our heads it is going to move in slow motion Are you ready?

Start to imagine this bucket tilting very slowly And as it does you can visualize a third-person perspective if you would like viewing yourself with this glistening beautiful vibrant water Coming to clean and cleanse your body mind and soul in slow motion this water begins to pour and Right now you begin to feel it touch the top of your head And as soon as it does The sensation is indescribable It's fresh It's clean.

It begins to roll to the forehead to the back of the head and the sides Is it cool is it warm the temperature is dependent on whichever feels more comfortable to you right now Begins to creep down in slow motion to the nose and over the eyes And now the back of the neck the sides in the middle of the neck To the shoulders and as it does you feel this water Completely relaxing your shoulders The tense sensation that may reside there melts away and you finally release To the back and the chest and the arms Down to the forearms and to the hands Finally to the belly and the lower back The legs the legs can carry stress as well So as this water reaches your legs Pulling away all the impurities You're relaxing even more and more to the kneecaps To the calves and to the feet and now we will pour one more bucket of water except this time It's going to move much faster Water begins to tip And quickly from the top of the head To the eyes to the ears to the back of the head the lips the neck Back the front the sides of the neck The shoulders the arms the chest the back middle back stomach lower back to the buttocks Water is beginning to drip down the forearms to the hands and the fingertips Down to the thighs now To the kneecaps the calves and the ankles to the feet and to the toes All the anxieties and stresses have been washed away Anxieties and stresses have been washed away by two buckets of pure water pure healing pure healing water Satu Sit in this moment Just be aware of this sensation right now Be aware of the breath And the sensation of the body being totally relaxed as relaxed as you can make it be And just breathe within this moment arrive at this moment and just Accept this moment And as thoughts arise come back to this moment and accept Accept that your mind traveled And accept that you are back here But do not let that Change How you feel Do not let any disruption disrupt you Do not let any moment Change how you feel This is your home This state of being that you are in right now Relaxed and at peace accepting of all things no matter what they are Not as you wish they would be but no matter what they are And through this acceptance we can begin To live more peacefully And if action is needed that is okay However,

The goal is not to let the necessity of this action change how we feel But allow this sensation to just be Allow all things to just be Still keeping our mind looking forward things that must be done But also allowing Alongside this state of peace I urge you to reflect on this meditation and this feeling Knowing that this is truth This is existence This is being human And with this understanding that cannot be explained in words Words I urge you to spread more love and kindness into the world Smile at someone you do not know And be happy Sato
