A warm welcome to you.

Often we find ourselves in the trap of believing that in order to love and accept ourselves and to be loved and accepted by others,

We need to in some way be more,

Perhaps more attractive,

More financially stable,

More interesting,

More confident,

More adventurous.

This way of thinking can lead us to feeling that right now we are in some way lacking.

We are not enough.

Moving through our days with these beliefs can lead us to shying away from opportunities and to not embracing all that is out there for us.

During this meditation we shall cultivate mindful presence and arrive at that quiet place inside us,

That place of deep knowing and acceptance.

We shall understand that even though we are not perfect,

Right now we are enough.

So settling now into a comfortable position and closing down your eyes if you like.

Letting the landscape of your awareness turn inwards.

Right now there is nowhere else you need to be.

It's okay to take this time for yourself.

As you settle in,

Feeling the touch of your clothes on your skin.

Noticing the feel of your body as it touches the chair or the ground.

Can you relax your body a little,

Allowing the ground to really support you?

Can you let your shoulders drop a little?

Can you let your eyes soften?

Can you relax your jaw and soften your tummy?

Allowing your hips and pelvis to become heavy.

Turning into the idea of the earth taking your weight.

Feeling relaxed and peaceful in this support.

Giving your attention now towards your breath,

This constant life force within us.

Noticing the air as it enters your nose.

Noticing the air as it leaves your nose or mouth.

Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest.

Feeling the soft expanse of your belly as the air flows in and out.

Noticing the way your body moves when you breathe.

Feeling a few more moments here in the gentle movement of your breath.

What a gift it is to cultivate such mindful awareness.

If you notice your mind is wandering,

Perhaps to certain thoughts or emotions,

That's okay.

See if you can attend to them with curiosity and openness.

And when it feels right for you,

Return to the sound of my voice.

Connecting once more to your breath,

This gift,

This life force within you.

Just as the tide washes over the sand,

Your breath washes over you.

As you continue to connect to your breath,

What do you notice?

Perhaps you are aware of a growing experience of relaxation,

Peace or calm.

Maybe you are aware of emotions or thoughts moving in and out of your awareness.

Can you rest here in your experience for a moment or two?

There is no right or wrong,

Just being curious and open.

You are in this moment of connection with yourself.

Returning once more to your breath.

Noticing the qualities of your inhale.

Noticing the natural pause at the top of your inhale.

Noticing the qualities of your exhale.

Noticing the natural pause at the end of your exhale.

Feeling these four parts of the cycle of breath.

And with each breath smoothing out the edges a little more.

Cultivating calm.

Cultivating connection.

Posting your attention now on your exhale.

Extending it just a little if you are able.

Long and smooth.

And as you exhale imagining any physical tension leaving your body.

I wonder,

Is there something else you would like to let go of now in this safe space you have created for yourself?

Perhaps a limiting belief you hold of yourself.

A critical thought or a worry.

With each exhale imagining this belief or thought leaving your body,

Mind and heart.

In this act of letting go there is a sense of freedom,

Of lightness or ease.

Staying here for a moment or two.

If your mind is wandering just gently bring it back to the natural rhythm of your breath.

Using this rhythm now to cultivate a feeling of peace and stillness inside you.

A deep knowing that I am enough.

I am enough.

As you breathe in repeating gently in your mind,

I am.

And as you breathe out repeating gently in your mind,

Enough.

I am enough.

Continue to breathe this supportive phrase in your mind for a few more moments now.

I am enough.

If your mind is wandering,

Attending to these thoughts with curiosity and when it feels right for you returning to your breath and these words,

I am enough.

Breathing into this experience a little more now.

Allowing this feeling that I am enough to move down your throat and into your chest.

Let this feeling travel from your chest into your tummy,

Into your pelvis and hips.

Let this feeling travel down your legs,

Past your knees,

To your ankles,

Feet and toes.

Allow these sentiments of self worth to travel across your shoulders,

Down your arms,

To your wrists,

Hands and fingers.

Letting this feeling that I am enough to seep into your entire being.

Staying here for a moment or two.

Pitching yourself now move through your days,

Completing tasks,

Communicating with others with this felt sense that I am enough.

What does your day look like?

How does it feel in your body,

Mind and heart to approach your day in this way?

I am enough.

When you are ready,

Beginning to deepen your breath.

Noticing the sounds around you.

Those far away.

Those sounds close by.

Offering your body any gentle movements it needs.

And when you are ready you may open your eyes.
