Welcome.
Let's be together for these next few moments in stillness.
I invite you to set aside anything you're doing and spend these next few minutes with me,
Coming back home to center,
Coming back to an awareness of the moment.
I invite you to close the eyes and sit comfortably.
Follow the sensation of the breath,
This flow moving in and out of the body.
Allow there to be a space between the teeth and the lips so the jaw can relax down.
Feel any tension in the belly or the chest beginning to unwind,
Any heaviness beginning to lift a little as you bring your awareness to it.
This practice is an allowing.
We spend so much time resisting what is,
Resisting how we feel,
Resisting what other people are doing,
Thinking,
Feeling.
You resist the way the body feels.
So for these next moments,
Let us practice simply being with what is.
Feel your hands begin to soften.
Tension in the face begins to melt away.
Deepen the breath,
Slow it down.
Imagine that the breath is like the ocean waves gently rolling into shore and then rolling back out,
Merging with the ocean.
As you inhale,
Feel as if the waves are rolling onto the sandy beach.
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself releasing resistance,
Tension.
Inhale this ease of breath.
Inhale an allowing of whatever is present.
If the mind is caught in agitated thinking or simply distracting thoughts,
It's okay.
Even allow the mind to be as it is.
Bring your awareness back to this ebb and flow of the breath.
If you're experiencing emotional pain or discomfort,
Can you allow that to be okay for now?
Can you take a breath and know that it's okay to feel whatever you're feeling?
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Even physical sensations come and go,
They're temporary.
And it is quite often our resistance to these feelings and experiences that causes a sense of suffering.
So let us continue to follow this flow of the breath,
These gentle ocean waves inviting us into our fullness,
Our wholeness,
As we release the tension of holding on,
Of resisting.
And let us continue to follow this flow of the breath,
This gentle ocean waves inviting us into our fullness,
Our wholeness,
As we release the tension of holding on,
Of resisting.
And let us continue to follow this flow of the breath,
This gentle ocean waves inviting us into our fullness,
Our wholeness,
As we release the tension of holding on,
Of resisting.
And let us continue to follow this flow of the breath,
This gentle ocean waves inviting us into our fullness,
Our wholeness,
As we release the tension of holding on,
Of resisting.
And let us continue to follow this flow of the breath,
This gentle ocean waves inviting us into our fullness,
Our wholeness,
As we release the tension of holding on,
Of resisting.
Become aware of your whole body supported,
Relaxing even more with your awareness.
Let us be grateful to this breath,
This life force that allows us to be here in this body,
In this world.
Imagine that this breath,
This nourishment is washing through your entire body.
Slowly begin to move the body.
Welcome consciousness back to this moment,
Back to this dream that is your life,
Your creation.
Resist if you choose or to practice allowing,
Accepting,
Welcoming the stillness of your being.
Just like the ocean waves roll in and out,
Our life is a dance.
Moments of feeling joyful,
Grateful,
Peaceful,
Moments of feeling heavy,
Sad,
Angry.
This is the dance.
And it is all okay.
It is all part of the experience of life.
When you're ready,
Slowly open the eyes.
Let us take one more conscious,
Full,
Deep breath together in and out.
And welcome this moment as it is.
I love you so.
Thank you.
