Hello and welcome to this practice to help you to find your desire and hopefully connect you with the work that you were born to do.

And to inspire and guide this practice,

I'm going to share a quote from Rumi.

Everyone has been made for some particular work and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.

If you're listening to this,

I'm trusting that there is some voice within that is yearning to be heard.

There is a desire that wants to be seen.

So this short practice is to help us connect with that desire,

To help you connect to your heart so that you see your desire revealed.

And so go ahead and close down your eyes.

And right away begin to get into your body,

Feeling that connection of your ground beneath you.

Allowing yourself to find a few rounds of breath.

And as you find a centering breath,

We're going to listen to that quote once again.

Everyone has been made for some particular work and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.

The key word I want us to focus on here is everyone.

Not people who have special talents,

Not just people who have connections,

Who are superior.

Everyone.

And so can you settle into the acceptance that you are included in this?

That there is a desire in your heart that you were made for.

Take a moment and sense where is this desire within you?

And as you do this,

See if you can soften any doubts that you might be having,

The judgments or the feelings that maybe this is overwhelming and how you will ever bring this desire into reality.

And almost imagining that the softening is peeling back these hardened layers over your heart.

And each breath is an act of surrender and acceptance that yes,

You too have work that you were born for.

Let those doubts melt away.

They may come back later,

But just for these next few minutes,

Surrender the critic.

Come deeper into this magnificence that is buried in your heart,

Your true keeper,

The keeper of your light,

Of your love and of your gifts.

And as you continue to melt and soften into your heart,

Know that there is a seed that is buried here that has your desire in which you must nurture.

You must water and tend to it.

Often we have been so disconnected from this that we haven't had the ability to nurture our desire.

And that's okay,

Because you're here and you're doing it right now.

Your seed never loses its potential to grow.

Each breath,

Each softening of your heart body is watering that seed.

Feel it cultivating within you.

We think of desire like it's something outside of ourselves,

Like we're finding something.

But what you learn is that it's more of an uncovering.

And desire is a means to bring yourself home to yourself,

To be in full loving alignment when who you are meets who you were meant to be.

And what we uncover is that we are our greatest desire,

That true essence of who we are.

You are your desire.

Notice how that feels.

Can you believe that?

Can you trust that?

Yes.

Not only is it within you,

Not only are you part of everyone,

But it is you.

It is the truest expression of you.

And to embody this,

Come back into your center,

Feel the center of your being,

Feel your heart.

And begin to repeat silently to yourself,

I am my desire.

I am my desire.

I am my desire.

And stay here repeating this on your own,

Further feeling the softness around your heart begin to melt.

As who you are and who you were born to be merge as one.

I am my desire.

And then remember this connection,

Remember you can always come back to this remembrance when you face doubts,

When they come up like they always will.

We can soften into ourselves and remember this truth.

And so when you are done,

Start to come back into your room,

Come back into your day.

And go ahead and open your eyes.

I thank you for taking the time to nurture your heart,

Nurture your desires.

May we all see the work that you were born to do.

So much love to you.

Namaste.
