Over 15 days, I walk you through several practices that not only help you wind down but also make you feel good, calm and clear —a state from which we become more resilient with whatever life throws at us. Resilience doesn’t mean that you’ll be happy all the time, but it does mean you have the energy, the mindset, and the support from others to help us weather the storm.

Welcome to episode 4 of Developing Resilience.

I sit relaxed and breathe deeply.

I slowly let go of all the tension I feel in my body.

I pay a special attention to my neck.

I let my head roll smoothly and gently,

Loosely connected to my shoulders.

Breathing in and out deeply as I let it roll a few more times.

I breathe in and out gently.

I have all the time in the world.

There is nowhere I need to go.

Nothing I need to do.

I sit here with myself,

Relaxed and peaceful.

I visualize the stillness of the soul,

A being of unflinching stillness,

In a pool of unwavering calmness.

As I pay attention to being,

The calmness expands outwards.

The calmness extends to encompass my entire body.

And then it slowly radiates outwards,

Out of my body and into my surroundings.

Soon I find myself sitting in a pool of calmness.

To transcend and free myself from adversity,

The primary state I need to access within my own consciousness is the state of innate knowingness.

It is a state that could be called beyond belief,

Which means prior to my beliefs.

This is the inner awareness of the truths that challenge and dissolve the beliefs and perceptions that are responsible for my experience of adversity.

In this state of innate knowingness,

I know,

Not just believe,

That I have nothing to lose as I have realized the truth that nothing and no one is ever mine.

In this state of innate knowingness,

I know,

Not just believe,

That I have already have what I seek as I have realized the truth that while I am motivated to find peace,

Love and happiness in all that I do,

I know that I am already my own inner source of such states of being.

In this state of innate knowingness,

I know that everything around is happening,

Emerging,

Evolving,

Progressing and regressing exactly as it should.

I have realized that the flux of continuous change in the world around me is but the backdrop of my life.

I have realized and know the truth that life is a game,

That I am here to play.

Not in this childish sense,

Although that too occasionally,

But more in a theatrical sense.

And sometimes my playfulness includes helping others who are still suffering because they have not yet realized that nothing is mine and that they already have what they seek and that life is a game.

From these states of knowingness,

I am able to see that nothing bad ever happens.

Whatever happens just happens.

Whatever happens just happens.

And what is adversity but the belief and perception that something has been lost because something bad has just happened and that life is a seriously serious business.

I am awake.

I am free.

I am powerful.

I have realized nothing bad ever happens.

Whatever happens just happens.

Notice how you feel right now.

Thank you for joining me in today's exercise.

Join me tomorrow for a meditation on the power of positive thinking.

Until then,

Be well.

Notice how much of your thoughts origin from a fear based mind. Accept and observe, in order to transmute this energy. I am strong. Thank you.

Radical perspective, yet so simple: it is what it is. Accept it. This meditation has incredible sound quality.

This meditation is beautifully abstract, yet relatable. The concepts of play and games are so important for us a humans and I was so grateful to hear them integrated with meditation in his track. Inspiring. 🙏

“Nothing bad ever happens. Whatever happens just happens”. Love that because circumstances are inherently neutral; it’s what we attribute to them that feels either good or bad.

Nothing has any meaning except what one gives to it. I Own Nothing. I Have Nothing.
