Hey,
Welcome to this meditation.
This meditation is for those of you who really tend to fill up their calendars trying to do everything for everyone all the time.
And then sometimes you tend to forget to just take 5 or 10 minutes for yourself to check in with yourself,
See how you're feeling,
See what's going on inside and just taking a second to recharge your battery so that you can do all those things that you want to do for others and also for yourself.
So yeah,
This is an opportunity for you to just take less than 10 minutes out of your day just to connect with yourself and make sure that you're fine.
I hope you enjoy this meditation.
Alright,
So wherever you are right now,
Sit tall,
Be in a comfortable seated position,
Place your hands on your knees,
Maybe you're laying down somewhere in which case you can just place your hands next to your body with the palms facing down.
Begin bringing your attention to your breath.
Take a deep inhale and feel how the air moves into your body through your nose.
Feel how your chest and your belly expand.
Feel your body all the way with air.
And then exhale.
Feel your belly sink,
Feel your chest descend,
Feel pressure leaving your body.
If you feel like your mind is really busy and you can't seem to focus on your breath because there are thoughts that continuously creep into your mind,
Begin by just counting your breath and giving your mind something else to do other than feeling.
Take a deep inhale,
Deep exhale.
Exhale,
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Hold.
Breathe normally.
Feel the space that is being created in your mind as you replace busy thoughts by breathing and counting.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Then listen to the sounds inside of you.
Feel your heartbeat.
Feel your breath.
Notice how you can let go of any tension that you're holding anywhere in your body with every exhale.
Breathe in deeply and soak in the silence.
Inhale deeply.
Release any tension,
Any pressure,
Anything that you're holding onto.
If you find your mind returning to a busy state,
Just silently in your mind count your inhales until five.
Hold your exhales until five and hold.
Remember that you can do this at any point in time.
There is always the possibility to take a step back and stop.
Nothing really has to be,
Nothing really must get done.
If you really think about it,
Just love what we tell ourselves.
The world keeps turning no matter if we do something or just take a moment,
Sit down and stop.
And I'll leave you with that thought as we slowly come back from our meditation.
Begin breathing deeply.
With each inhale,
Feel that your spine is raising and your spine is getting taller and your lungs are being filled with air and it lifts you up from the bottom of your spine all the way up to the top.
Inhale through your mouth,
Let everything go.
Take another deep inhale,
Broaden your chest,
Lift up,
Exhale and let go.
Slowly get ready to open up your eyes.
Take your hands in front of your heart,
Bow your head,
Touch your forehead with your fingertips.
Let your hands fall into your lap and slowly blink open your eyes.
Remember that there is always time,
We can take our time,
We can do what we please with our time and we can always take 5 or 10 minutes,
Just take them for ourselves,
Just sit down and take them and use them for something that does our soul some good.
I hope you enjoyed this meditation and I hope that you have a very good rest of your day.
Take care of yourselves.
Namaste.
