Sometimes when you are vulnerable and needed to be held or supported, perhaps you were not. Despite you being the guiding spirit to others. That when you were most exposed, your heart was maybe hurt instead of held. This 10-minute guided meditation will help you find forgiveness in your heart - the home of your healing.

Let's begin by finding a posture where you're feeling completely supported.

Your back is straight,

Your shoulders are able to relax,

And just gently closing down your eyes.

Taking a moment here to enter the stillness that is within you at this time.

Enter the respite and relief,

The home of your healing.

Connecting with your breath,

And while we're here connecting with your breathing,

Just feeling all your energy pulling you,

Grounding you down into your seat,

The palms of your hands down into the earth.

Just focusing here on the breath in,

And the exhale out.

Though we don't know each other,

We are kindred in spirit.

We are the same.

We are here in the name of our hearts to experience compassion and kindness,

To grow closer within.

I know that life is not always easy.

I know it comes with a tremendous amount of stress,

Or we feel we are misunderstood.

I know when you were most vulnerable and needed to be held or supported,

Perhaps you were not.

Despite you being the guiding spirit to others,

That when you were most exposed,

Your heart was maybe hurt instead of held.

None of this was intentional.

Just letting that go.

Taking a moment to come into your body.

Just taking a few deep breaths in,

And slow exhales out of your mouth.

Just letting your body relax and feel the flow of your breath moving through you.

Now relaxing your breath so you breathe easy and natural.

Just following the air and the flow.

You'll notice some breaths are long and nourishing,

Some are short and shallow.

Each breath is unique.

On the inhale,

Just letting your chest rise.

On the exhale,

Letting it go.

When the mind becomes distracted,

Gently bringing it back,

Kindly,

With no judgement.

If any thoughts arise,

Just be aware of whatever is coming up for you,

And gently letting it go.

By being here in this place,

To sit in the centre of our untouched beauty,

You are noticing thoughts or events come and go.

Just like waves of the ocean that pass you by.

Your awareness is here in your breath,

Flowing in and flowing out.

This is why we meditate,

To create space,

To recalibrate,

To renew.

Underneath the external noise,

Sits a loving,

Unaffected presence,

The home of your healing.

Let it fill your heart and spill into you.

Just holding yourself for a moment with love and respect and gratitude.

And as we draw near the end of the practice,

Just taking a moment to notice how you feel.

So through the day,

If you ever feel like you're depleted,

You know that you can always come back here and heal within.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Just bringing your awareness back into the room,

Just feeling any sensations here in your body,

Noticing any sounds around you.

Notice that your heart is soft,

There's a gentle smile on your face.

And when you're ready,

Just gently opening up your eyes.

I get some anxiety when focusing on my breath, like “I’m not breathing right, I can’t breath, why aren’t I breathing more/deeper” but I acknowledge how I’m feeling and let it pass. Then I focus on my breath with no judgement and the calm I feel takes over. Thanks!
