This is a meditation to guide you back to a more open state.
So let's begin by noticing the current experience.
All of the sounds around.
The sensations of touch,
Of taste,
Of smell.
The thoughts running through the mind.
If it's accessible the feelings in the body and the breath.
First,
We can notice that the sounds when we are in a quiet environment appear in the silence and disappear in the silence.
They are effortlessly perceived by the ears and then fade back into silence.
In the same way when we put our hand on physical objects such as a table or a glass of water,
The sensation of touch appears in our experience.
And if we move our hand away,
The sensation of touch dissolves.
This is how space is unaffected by the objects that appear in it.
The same is true for taste and smell.
As soon as one of these can be perceived,
They effortlessly appear in our experience and then fade back.
Then there is the mind.
In all of these cases we like to think that there is a perceiver.
I am hearing,
I am touching,
I am tasting.
I am thinking.
But actually these things appear in our experience and are known by me.
In the same way thoughts just flow through the mind.
In this case let's just allow the thoughts to flow continuously without giving any particular importance to any of them,
Just witnessing them,
Accepting them,
Embracing them.
The mind sometimes creates this flow of energy that needs to be allowed before we can access the body.
If we think a particular thought is important,
Then we are stopping the flow of energy in a way.
We cannot continue to the body.
So in this case we just allow the thoughts to flow.
While we do that,
You can also see which area of the body is ready to be relaxed.
It's ready to let go of tension and move your awareness there.
Take your time.
As the body opens in this way you can feel the energy spreading from the tension around to the parts that are now more open.
This way the body becomes a fully functional mechanism that shares its parts around.
So it is no longer a single area that deals with the tension,
But it's the whole body that is allowed to open up and let the tensions flow through it.
As the body opens in this way the breath also moves more freely.
Maybe it has deepened already,
But if it hasn't you can try and take a deeper breath.
If any feeling or emotion arises and projects fearful thoughts to the mind,
Just be with them,
Accept them,
Keep allowing the energy to flow through you.
There is no need to hold on to anything.
Just like those feelings can come one after the other.
Despite that keep allowing them to just be flow through you.
The more you rest in this way and allow the body and the mind to open,
The more you will be able to access the awareness within which they appear and with which they are known.
You will notice that the awareness itself isn't affected by the thoughts and the feelings.
It just is.
It says yes to everything that appears in experience.
Awareness,
Your true self,
Is therefore naturally fearless and also all loving.
Awareness simultaneously accepts and embraces but also lets go of all things that appear in experience.
It holds on to nothing.
Notice that from the perspective of awareness nothing needs to change,
To shift,
To be different.
Nothing is perfect as it is.
When you keep resting in this way,
The mind and the body will continuously open until there is no thought,
No feeling that can ever last in them very long because there is no attachment to those things.
The body becomes flexible and transparent and the mind becomes accepting of all thoughts and images without judgment.
Thank you.
