Begin by finding a comfortable position to hold your body in for the next few minutes.
Whatever comfort means to you and your body right now,
Allow yourself to find it and to settle in.
Allowing your body to take up as much space as it needs,
As you set the intention to be present and to take this dedicated time for accepting what is.
Start by taking a deep inhale,
Filling the chest with breath,
And exhaling slowly out of the mouth,
Feeling the body soften as it becomes a bit lighter.
Again,
Inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling through the mouth,
Giving your body permission to relax,
Letting go of any stiffness or tension.
Do this one more time,
Breathing in to accept the now and breathing out to release anything else.
Continue to take slow breaths in and out,
Following the inhale and the exhale.
As you find yourself here and now,
Taking notice of any sensation that is present in the body.
What are you feeling in your physical vessel and where are you feeling it?
Not feeling the need to necessarily focus on these sensations or go into these sensations,
But just acknowledge that they are there.
Instead of focusing on these sensations,
You are going to focus on the idea of allowing these sensations.
As you continue to breathe,
Use your exhales to soften into a state of acceptance and allowance of these sensations,
Softening any resistance or refusal that your body may be harboring toward these sensations.
Releasing the struggle against these sensations,
Simply allowing them to be.
Perhaps saying to the self,
I accept this sensation.
I allow it to be present.
I hold no resistance to this sensation.
I accept this sensation as part of my experience of the now.
Not trying to label the sensation as good or bad.
Not trying to trick the mind into seeing this sensation as something it isn't.
Just remaining neutral to this sensation.
It is simply something that is in this moment.
Nothing more,
Nothing less.
And now you might begin to take notice of any emotions you might be experiencing and how these emotions are manifesting within your being.
Not trying to change them into something that they are not.
Not trying to block yourself from feeling them.
Recognizing that they are indeed present.
Not needing to focus on what is causing them or why you are experiencing these emotions.
Just allowing them to be there.
You may not know what you are going to do about these emotions and that is okay.
In this moment,
You are just allowing them to be here.
It's okay that you are feeling these emotions.
They're not a threat to you.
There is no need to push them away.
Just allowing each out-breath to soften you to the experience of now.
To put down your defenses.
To know that you are safe to be here just as you are.
Whatever it is you are feeling,
It is okay to feel it.
Allow what is to be.
Feeling everything that is and meeting it with acceptance.
You may begin to take notice of external sensations now.
Accepting the sensation of the air on your skin.
Accepting the sensation of your body touching the surface below you.
Accepting the sounds that you hear around you.
The smells that are around you.
Accepting your surroundings.
And accepting anything else that makes up your present experience.
Accepting the time of day.
Accepting the time of year.
Accepting where you are in life.
Accepting where you are in the universe.
Feeling everything to flow on as it is.
Not trying to change the course of anything.
Not trying to change or influence the experience of anything.
Accepting the experience of now because it is the only way that you get to experience now.
All of the happenings that have led up to this moment have allowed for this present experience of reality.
So allow it to be.
