Beginning our meditation,

Let's take three deep cleansing breaths.

Breathing in deeply through our nostrils and a long out breath sighing out through our mouth.

Breathing in the goodness of the world around us,

Breathing out letting go of the tension in our bodies.

Breathing in the lightness of the world around us,

Breathing out feeling a wave of relaxation through our body.

Breathing in the breath of life,

Breathing out relaxing into being.

Let our breath fall into its natural rhythm.

Breathing in the breath of life,

Breathing out relax into being.

Breathing in the lightness of the world around us,

Breathing out relax into being.

When our mind wanders,

We smile gently knowing that this is completely natural.

It's what our minds do.

We observe the thought or emotion,

Aware that it is there and refocus on our breath.

Breathing in the breath of life,

Breathing out relax into being.

We are the in breath.

Breathing in,

Relax into being.

Breathing in the breath of life,

Breathing out aware of the expansive space in our bodies.

Breathing in,

Relax into being.

When our minds wander,

We smile gently and notice the thought.

What caused it to rise up now?

Is this thought a floater?

Did it rise up like a puffy cloud and then float off?

Or is it a sticky thought,

Coming in like a storm front,

Staying for a while and disturbing the quiet?

No worries,

Even the fiercest of storms eventually fades away.

Breathing in,

We are aware of the storm.

Breathing out,

We relax into being with the storm.

Breathing in,

Relax into being.

Breathing out,

Relax into being.

We are the in breath.
