Make your way to a comfortable position,
Lying down with a bolster under your knees,
A pillow under your head,
Or even side lying with a bolster between your knees.
I want you to close your eyes and become aware of your breath,
The natural flow of prana entering your lungs.
Start to soften your body,
Starting at the crown of your head and softening your way down.
Close your eyes,
Your cheeks,
And your jaw.
Allow your jaw to fall where gravity lands it.
On your next exhale,
Imagine releasing all of the tension you have built up in your shoulders.
Become soft in the arms and release the grip in your hands.
Relax your belly,
Soften your pelvic floor and your hips as you prepare for the arrival of your precious new baby.
Let your legs release any stiffness through your exhales.
Allow your feet to fall with gravity at true relaxation.
Now bring your awareness to your womb,
Where your nestled baby is cuddled up safely to your body.
Is your mind scanning baby's body just as you have yours?
Is baby in a meditative state with you or is baby moving around finding energy in your breath?
Allow your breath to swoop around baby like a beautiful summer breeze.
Flowing around the baby back up through your lower chest,
Upper chest,
And out of your mouth back into the air around us.
Imagine the life force energy you are cycling is going straight to baby,
Nourishing baby's body,
Getting baby ready for the outside world to cycle the exact same prana energy that you are introducing to baby.
Take a few moments to connect with baby.
Send your love and light to baby,
Comforting and affirming what baby already feels energetically.
Imagine holding little one in your arms for the first time.
What will that feel like?
Feel comfort in knowing that your baby feels every ounce of love that is expanding your heart.
Take a few moments to revel in this love for baby.
Feel comfort in knowing that your baby feels every ounce of love that is expanding your heart.
Bring your awareness back to the present moment while keeping your eyes closed.
Start by wiggling your fingers and toes.
Imagine in your own time,
Slowly make your way onto your side if you are not already.
When you are ready,
You can engage your core and push through your hands gently making your way up to a seated position with your head being the last thing to come up.
Take your time and open your eyes once you are up and settled.
