Welcome.
I'm Bex and this is a meditation for clearing your vessel.
So the first step will be find a comfortable space in your body.
The shape that you take is up to you,
Whether you're seated or reclined.
Give yourself a moment to prepare.
So whatever you need to unplug to take this time for your practice,
Let that happen now.
And then fully commit to being enrolled in this moment for clearing.
So you start exactly where you are.
There's an easeful way about you and if there isn't,
If you feel tension in your body,
Give yourself a moment to consciously release.
Sometimes it might feel like holding that space tighter and then unraveling it.
As you scan your body for that effortlessness,
This will provide you with spaciousness to clear your vessel.
So you'll start at the base of your feet,
Ungripping in the toes and softness through the foot ankle.
And you'll scan the lower leg and the knee on the right and the knee on the left for that feeling of naturally giving into the melting sense.
And then as you bring your awareness and your attention up to your thigh bones and your pelvis,
Be sure to uncoil in the tail and to feel the breath breathing your body.
Bathing in the breath allows the unhurrying to get steeped in the practice.
So if there's any holding in the foot ankle,
The shin bones or the knees,
Is there a way to allow fluid to clear that current of water in your body to be a resource for shifting and moving the breath,
Energy,
Blood,
Prana,
The chi,
Whatever resonates.
In that pelvic area where the water resides,
The basin of the pelvis,
Just see if it's possible to let go of it.
So there may be a feeling around the navel center,
The low back,
The abdominal region of whatever's coming up for you.
And so you send your softness,
Your breath,
And your ability to let things be so,
Just so.
And as you scan the body up by the sternum and the heart center,
Feeling even more so the pressure changes in your body,
Ungripping,
And if it's possible,
Letting your shoulders,
Your arms,
Wrists,
And hands feel heavy in the bones to reveal that lightness that is in the body,
The vessel.
Sometimes there's residual resistance in the throat or the back of the neck.
And even here,
We just rinse with the breath,
Sometimes a gentle,
Soft swallow,
And filling up with that nostril breathing will rinse even more,
The benching,
The jaw,
A sense of slack in the face,
Root of the tongue and the eyes,
Forehead and the scalp,
A washing as well.
If thoughts are appearing,
Just noticing that thoughts are appearing and coming back to that feeling of practicing presence,
Moving the breath through as a way of balancing what you're holding onto and what you're letting go of.
So we take refuge in this practice as we scan our body,
Giving more allowance inside for spaciousness,
For patience,
And that feeling of soaking in your breath and tuning in to the cave of your heart as a way to be with what is now you,
Seated,
Reclined with comfort and hopefully an open attitude that at any moment,
You can shift your mindset and maybe experience the insight that this is a practice of meeting yourself exactly where you are.
And when you scan your body,
You're giving yourself permission to practice.
Take these final moments to just be with what is.
Stay longer if you like.
