Welcome to this meditation.
Please find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
Make sure that everything is just so.
Once you're all situated,
Take a nice big breath in through your nose and out through the nose of the mouth.
Allow the whole body to settle and invite the eyes to soften.
Take another breath in through the nose and out through the nose of the mouth and feel your connection with the element of earth.
Feel the body grounded,
The support underneath you,
The length of the spine,
The structure and the solidity of the bones.
Tune in to the element of earth and honor you.
Deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Let's take another breath in and out,
This time tuning into the water element within the body.
Our body is mostly water.
The circulatory system and the lymphatic system,
They move our fluids.
We do nothing.
We just receive the gift of all this inner work.
We're water also when we're fluid and flexible with life.
So take some time right here and right now to breathe in and out,
Tuning into your connection with the element of water in your life.
Let's take a nice full breath in through the nose and out through the nose of the mouth.
Settling just a little more deeply into the body and feeling the warmth,
The warm air that comes through the exhalation out of the nose.
Considering the warmth in the belly,
The metabolic fire,
The digestion of all of our life's experiences as well as our food and our drink.
Tune into the heat,
The fire,
The quality of fire that's always burning within us.
Stay with your breath.
Let's take another breath together in through the nose and out through the nose of the mouth.
And this time please tune into the air element of the body.
Notice the air moving out as you breathe and notice the quality,
The temperature,
The feel of the air on your skin.
Take a full breath in and out and tune into the air element within you.
Inhale deeply,
Exhale fully.
Let's now turn our attention and our awareness to the element of space within the body and around the body.
We have space between our fingers and toes.
We have space in our ears and in our nose.
Tuning into the space element within the body,
Notice how anchored you become,
Present and grounded.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Continue to breathe in and out.
Find your way back through the elements here,
The earth element,
The quality of grounding,
The water element,
The quality of moving and flowing,
The fire element,
The quality of making things happen,
Moving through things,
Transformation,
The quality of air,
Allowing the breath to guide us,
The quality of space,
Understanding that we need not go anywhere.
We can stand right where we are,
As we are,
And we will become grounded,
Centered,
And anchored.
Feel yourself right here,
Grounded,
Anchored,
And centered.
Let's take three deep breaths to close this practice.
Nice full breath in and slowly exhale.
Another deep breath in and a slow exhale.
Let's take one final breath.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Fill all the way up,
Empty completely,
Let everything go,
Place your hand on your heart,
Honor you.
