
Diving Deeper: Gratitude & Generosity
Diving deeper into the attitudinal foundations of mindfulness, this track explores the symbiotic relationship of gratitude and generosity. As we give we also receive, and as we receive we are also giving. Findings suggest that the effects of practicing gratitude are long-lasting. Gratitude appears to actually rewire our brain so we’re better able to deal with adversity — both in the present moment and also to build reserves we can draw on down the road. As a practice, generosity helps connect us with others and with ourselves. Through the practice of generosity we begin to understand where we are closed, where we are holding back, where we feel our fear. We learn what keeps us from being generous. This meditation practice invites us to cultivate an attitude of gratitude and generosity.
