This is a ten-minute track of mindful kindness and care for any woman who is feeling fatigued, down, or defeated; and like life is asking a lot of them right now. It is a soft, safe, and soulful space to rest into and be lifted and loved through it all -when times are tricky. Give yourself the gift of your attention, come in close, restore, and replenish yourself.

This is for you,

Dear soul sister,

In need of strength.

This is for you on a day when doubt may have you,

When fatigue may have come calling for you and sent your sense of self spiraling down.

This is to pick you up on a day when maybe you have forgotten how bold and beautiful and brilliant you are,

And that voice you speak inside your own head may not be so kind.

Pause,

Rest.

We will take these next few minutes to begin again,

To find our way back to our sweet and soulful selves,

To turn towards what is beautiful in our lives and in our hearts.

To lift ourselves up,

To restore ourselves,

To come back towards relishing life.

So rest down and close your eyes for a moment,

Turn the gaze inward from all you have been intending to and all that has been asked of you and you have graciously given to.

If you feel to place one hand on your beautiful belly and one on your heart,

Turn towards yourself and say,

I am here.

Come in close to yourself.

Deepen your breath and start to notice how you're feeling amidst all the doing.

Notice if you feel far from yourself and offer this opportunity for you to touch in,

To be a safe space for yourself to come home to you,

To come home to your dear heart.

Soul sister,

I see you.

I see all you do for the world,

The ways you try and struggle and reach and give and show up.

It can be exhausting tending to the external.

So take these few breaths to come to the inner world,

To find this place of refuge.

Let your shoulders soften some,

Breathe deeper into your belly.

Inviting a little softness into your body,

A little slowing,

A pause place.

Acknowledge this body for all she does for you.

All your hands reach out and tend to all the ways they give.

As you feel your hands on your body in this moment,

Feel the care,

Feel compassion for yourself.

Admire yourself for all you have been doing for all the times you've picked yourself up and started over.

Admire your bravery,

All the times you pushed through,

You dared,

You dreamed,

You tried.

Appreciate yourself for all the days you got over the,

I can't,

I don't know if I can and did it anyway.

Appreciate yourself for sitting here with your struggles and your strains and for finding a new way forward.

Invite in your soulful self,

Your heartful self,

The wise woman within you that knows.

Invite in that strength within you that sometimes comes through that fire within your belly,

That lifts you up,

That lights you up,

That sets your life alight,

That makes your eyes shine bright.

Call forth your passion,

Your sweet passionate soul self,

Remember her and call her back into this moment.

See if your spine lengthens a little some as you remember what you're passionate about.

See if you might sit a little taller as you remember the good things you've done,

The moments of life well lived.

Turn towards your heart and all that she knows,

The good guidance that she gives you.

Hear your heart,

Your compassion for yourself,

Your love for yourself,

Your stand for yourself.

Sit with yourself,

Stand by yourself,

Back yourself up.

Know that you are good not because someone said so,

Because you tried hard,

But because you're born,

Because you're a perfect part of this life.

Because you're another wild and beautiful part of this universe like oak trees and buffaloes and squirrels and slugs and wallflowers and wildflowers and your own wild soul.

Notice the goodness that you are.

Bring a little smile to your lips and offer it to yourself,

I see you sweet darling sitting here practicing,

Taking time for you.

Girl I got you.

Woman I'm wowed by you.

Sweet soul sister,

I sit with you.

I see you.

Take the next minute or so to say any words to yourself that you need to hear to back yourself up right now.

What are the things you're wishing that someone would say to you that your soul is yearning for?

The ways you want to be seen and praised.

Give yourself the gift of those words.

And as we turn towards the end of our practice.

Notice what giving yourself the gift of just a few minutes attention has done.

Notice if you feel maybe softer and stronger.

If you've come home to your heart.

If there seems to be a little bit more aliveness in your life.

Know that you can always give yourself the gift of your own attention.

Know that there is a community here of sweet soul sisters worldwide sitting together.

Figuring our way through it when it's tough.

With invisible webs between us know that you're not alone in this struggle even though sometimes it feels that way.

Know that we practice together we lift each other up.

There are webs woven between us as we extend care and kindness.

So I thank you for practicing.

For daring to come in close to yourself for holding your own heart.

For finding your own beauty and your bravery and daring to touch it to live from it.

We are women of wonder.

May you see the gift that you are the light and the brightness of your own being.

May you go forth from this practice session and shine bright.

I see you.

I thank you.

I'm grateful for you.

Thank you. I’m in a season of life when many things just doesn’t make sense. But I’m trying my best. Sometimes I feel proud of how far I’ve come, despite those “I cannot do this, I can’t stand this anymore” moments. But still, the other moments when an old memory comes back, a new challenge… and I fall into pieces. It’s HARD. Thank you for your kind words. I’m crying as I’m writing this. But for a little moment today, I felt seen. I’m struggling in so many fronts. And wishing that the world will pause, to give me a chance to catch up. I know that’s not going to happen, but for a few minutes today, I felt hopeful. Thank you.

I plan to share this with all of my soul sisters. I think it’s beautiful, and apropos even when life doesn’t feel like a struggle. I wonder: if we could adopt these words of love and kindness towards ourselves EVERY day - in every moment of ease and in every moment of despair - if our experiences of struggle would soften a bit. If we habitually extend kindness to ourselves, will our perception of even the darkest moments of our lives become brighter? ❤️
