Events in our lives are manifestations of where we have pulled away from our Self. Our bodies know how to heal; we simply need to hold space and Witness.

Take a few moments to find yourself into a comfortable seated position.

Laughing at works best if we're in alignment,

Our spine is vertical,

Skull resting over the rib cage,

Rib cage resting over the pelvis.

Our meditation practice today is on the seven chakras.

And meditating on the seven chakras,

The energy centers through our body.

The energy centers start at the base of our spine.

I'll just start with a little overview on the base of the spine,

The root chakra.

And then in the pelvic bowl or just below the navel,

The sacral chakra.

The third chakra is the solar plexus.

The fourth is the heart at our heart center,

The center of our chest.

And the fifth is the throat in the throat.

And the sixth chakra is the brow or third eye,

And it's the center of the forehead.

And the seventh is the crown at the very top of the head.

Take a few moments allowing the eyes to close.

And feeling bones and muscles releasing.

Allow your neck to relax.

Feel your lower jaw unhinge.

Notice your eyes softening.

Feel even in the breath a sense of release,

Letting go of control and coming into authentic breathing.

Bringing into your mind's eye focusing or centering on the crown chakra,

So the very top of the head.

The crown chakra is linked to our awareness of oneness with our source,

Living in the now,

Devotion,

Inspiration.

You might bring the color violet and a pure white light into this meditation.

And seeing the skin of the top of your head,

How it moves into the skin of your face,

Which connects into the skin of your throat.

Feel a sense of release as you notice the skin of your throat connecting into the skin of your right arm and the skin of your right arm right into the skin of your hand.

And noticing how the skin of the throat connects right into the skin of the left arm.

And releasing even a little more the skin of the left arm,

Noticing how it connects right into the skin of the left hand.

The skin of the throat also connecting right into the skin of the chest,

The upper back,

The skin of the torso.

Fleshing seamlessly into the skin of the flanks,

The hips.

And in your mind's eye,

The skin of the hips connected seamlessly into the skin of the thighs,

The right knee,

The skin of the right shin.

And all the way to the skin of the right foot.

And on the left side from the left flank,

The left hip,

The skin of the hip is the same skin as the left thigh,

The same skin as the left shin,

And the skin of the left foot.

So the total body awareness of the skin of the body connected.

And then bringing your attention to the third eye between the eyebrows,

The center of the forehead.

Bring to mind the color of indigo.

And the third eye is linked with our inner vision,

Our divine understanding and discernment,

Our wisdom,

Our intuition,

Our intelligence.

Allowing the space between the brows to release.

Attention moving into the throat,

The fifth chakra.

And our fifth chakra,

Throat chakra,

Is linked with our expression,

Being our truth,

Expressing our truth,

Taking responsibility for our needs,

Trusting our source,

Our decision making,

And manifesting our creative impulses.

So bringing your attention to the base of the throat and considering or lifting into your mind's eye the color blue.

Observing your in-breath through your throat and observing your out-breath through the throat.

And then bringing your attention to the center of the forehead,

The center of the forehead,

And the center of the chest,

The fourth chakra,

The heart chakra.

And our heart space is linked to love,

Spiritual love,

Human love,

Compassion,

Confidence and trust,

Acceptance and openness.

And the color that we bring to our mind is the color of green.

So bringing to mind the color green,

And you might imagine this color filling your chest cavity and even into both the right arm and the left arm and into the fingertips,

The color green spreading.

And as you breathe,

Right lung,

Left lung,

Feel a sense of breathing into the back body,

The back of the chest,

As well as breathing into the front body,

The front of the chest.

Both lungs expand in our chest to both the left armpit and the right armpit.

So for the next few moments,

Awareness of the breathing,

Awareness of the lungs filling all parts of the cavity of the chest.

And then bringing awareness down into the navel,

The solar plexus.

This is our third chakra.

So above the belly button,

Below the rib cage.

And our third chakra is our self-esteem,

Our place of self-confidence,

Our personal power,

Our concept of ourselves as an individual,

As separate from others,

As separate from other.

And so in this part of your body,

Start to visualize,

Bring to your mind the color yellow,

Yellow of the sun,

Like the yellow of a fire.

And for the next few moments,

Awareness of the belly,

Awareness of sensations of the internal organs of the belly.

Moving awareness into the second chakra,

The sacral.

And our sacral chakra is linked to our creativity.

It's linked to our sexuality,

Our sensuality,

Our spontaneity,

Our ability to flow with life,

Our ability to be open and vulnerable.

And it's located just below the navel,

Just below the belly button.

So bringing the color orange into this part of the body.

If you are a female,

Reflecting on your reproductive organs.

If you're a male,

Reflecting,

Meditating,

Bringing awareness to your reproductive organs.

And meditating awareness on the color orange.

And when you're ready.

Bringing awareness into the very base of the spine,

The tailbone,

The sit bones.

The root chakra,

Our first chakra,

Is linked to our connection to our tribe,

Our family,

Our community.

Our first chakra is our connection with the physical manifestation of our lives,

Of our homes,

Of our finances,

Of our physical bodies,

Our physical groundedness,

Our survival,

Pleasure,

Pain.

Our sense and ability of feeling at home with our bodies at home on the earth.

Bringing awareness to the base of the spine and bringing to your mind's eye the color red.

And you might feel or sense or visualize this red color spreading all the way into your legs,

Into your feet.

You might visualize for the root chakra,

The root like the roots of a tree connecting you into your seat.

It's flowing downward into the earth,

Connecting you into the core of the earth.

These roots,

They move with you,

So they don't keep you stuck in place,

But they move with you wherever you go in the world.

So that whether you are here or there,

High or low,

Inside or outside,

This root that we visualize is with you,

Connecting you to the core of the earth.

So for the next moment,

The next few moments,

Meditating on this root and bringing into your mind's eye the color red.

And when you're ready,

Place a hand on your heart.

Connecting back into your central goodness.

And place a hand on the earth,

Connecting into your earth,

Your groundedness.

And then bringing both palms to touch in front of the heart in prayer position.

Taking a moment to find gratitude for the experience.

And gratitude for the physical manifestations of life in your body,

In your home,

In your community.

And then bowing together.

Really peaceful and supportive. I don’t usually meditate without music but I appreciated the pacing, the moments of silence and the genuine tranquility in your voice. Thank you!

Thank you for this meditation on all seven chakras. I found the descriptions clear, and the pace was right for me. I have heard other meditations start from the 1st chakra rather than the 7th and I think I would have preferred that. I really enjoyed the fact that there was no background music or sounds, which meant I could concentrate on the meditation itself rather than getting distracted by the music.

Great voice. I liked how she starts with the crown chakra and then goes down to the root chakra for the end. Usually you start with the route and go up to the crown, so this was a really nice different way of looking at it. The part in the beginning about your skin was a really nice intro too.

This is my favorite so far! I needed to learn the significance of the 7 chakras and now I feel grounded in the knowledge and visualization of the colors of the rainbow overlapping with the centering balance points of our being. Roy G. Biv. May the colors of the rainbow bring us joy 🌈
