Greetings and welcome to this Being Kind to Me meditation.

How often are we kind to others and not so kind to ourselves?

In this practice,

We will practice being kind to ourselves.

It might be helpful to have a journal or some paper to write down how you feel after you finish the meditation.

Perhaps you'll get some ideas on how to be kinder to yourself.

Also take a moment to settle in wherever you are.

You may lie down or you may be seated.

It's just practice,

So let's practice.

The intention of this meditation is to offer you an opportunity to cultivate kindness and love for yourself.

I invite you to use this time to truly connect with yourself in the space of loving compassion,

Kindness,

And appreciation.

As you continue to settle in,

Gently place your hands in the center of your chest so that one is slightly above the other.

Begin to notice your heartbeat as you focus on your breath and breathe.

Breathe in and breathe out at your own pace.

Notice any sensations that may arise.

Breathe and allow this intimate time for self.

You may close your eyes if you're comfortable to allow your focus to go deeper inward.

Take a moment to think about the last experience you had when you were consciously being kind to someone.

Now feel that in your body.

Begin to breathe even more intentionally and notice how your body feels as you begin to connect with that experience.

If the memory makes you smile,

Be fully with that smile.

Engage with that feeling and notice how your body is responding.

Remember what it was about that experience that you enjoyed and take a few breaths.

Now take a moment to recall a time when someone was kind to you.

How did you feel?

Were you noticing your breath in your body?

Did you feel gratitude for that person and what they did?

Immerse yourself in that feeling.

Breathe with your body and your feelings.

Now bring your attention to you.

In what ways can you be kinder to yourself?

Perhaps you can listen to your body and rest a little more.

Maybe it is as simple as slowing down when you're doing a task.

Take a breath as you begin to open yourself up to the options.

What is how you feel in your body right now?

Let's take a few minutes in silence to connect with what is coming up as you think about being kind to you.

Continue breathing and noticing your bodily sensations.

Ask yourself,

How can I be kinder to me?

Allow yourself to sit with the question for a bit.

Breathe and pay attention to how you feel.

I'll return shortly.

Just be open and receptive to your body,

Feelings,

And sensations.

Gently begin to bring your attention to this very present moment.

Notice how you feel right now.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale with a sigh.

What came up for you during this practice?

Make a mental note or perhaps write down what you want to remember or retain.

Rub your hands together and place them in your heart space.

Repeat after me.

I am deserving of the same kindness I give to others.

I am enough.

I will be kinder to me this day.

Take another breath in and out.

Carry this with you today.

I'd love to know how you felt after the meditation.

Wherever you're listening,

Please take a moment to leave a comment or feel free to reach out to me on social media.

Be kind to you today more than you ever have been.

Namaste and be well.
