Welcome to this morning practice to boost self-confidence.
The purpose of this meditation that is best practiced on a daily basis is to help you set yourself up for success in your day.
To help you work with your thoughts that may have been lingering around,
Stories you may have told yourself.
And to contribute to rewriting those stories and to step into your confidence,
Your power,
Your wisdom that is inside you.
And to bring on a successful day.
We will get started with a short meditation to get you grounded,
Followed by affirmations that you can take with you throughout the day,
That you can repeat as often as you wish to see the best results possible.
So get yourself settled into a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down.
And you can proceed with closing your eyes,
Taking a second to wiggle out any excess energy in your toes,
Feet,
Arms,
Hands,
Fingers.
Get yourself settled in for this short morning practice.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath in.
Deep breath through your nose,
Feeling your lungs and your belly fill up.
And exhale through the mouth.
And again,
Inhale through your nose and exhale.
Now with your next inhale,
You may start to scan a little bit for any tension that may have been trapped here,
Lingering.
Whether it is a tension you may feel in your face,
Your shoulders,
Anywhere else in your body.
It's always great to just have a little check-in.
Where are things lingering in my body?
Where are they stuck?
And so as you do this non-judgmental assessment,
Wherever you may feel tension,
Let's begin releasing each time that we exhale.
And breathe in through your nose and exhale the tension,
Softening.
Whether it's your shoulders,
You can let them lower themselves at the next exhale.
Whether it's your wrists or the area between your eyebrows,
Just gently release with each exhale.
Allow yourself to feel more softness,
More relaxation.
And often as the body relaxes and the breathing becomes more conscious and intentional,
There's thoughts that pop up.
Thoughts of impatience,
Wish to be somewhere else than here.
Resting,
Meditating,
Reflecting.
And that's completely fine.
When our body rests,
The mind often starts to race.
And as it would be sometimes,
The thoughts that pop up are thoughts that we have been holding on to for a very long time,
Sometimes for years,
For decades.
Thoughts that we transform into stories.
Stories about us,
Stories that we tell ourselves.
Many times these stories are not necessarily the most uplifting.
They're not the ones that carry us through the day with power and confidence.
So we are here to rewrite that today.
So I would love for you to proceed breathing at your own pace without paying too much attention.
But if you feel like your mind wanders too much,
You can always bring yourself back to your breath.
And for the next minute,
Just allow yourself to be.
Allow your body to breathe on its own effortlessly.
And before we get started with our affirmations,
I would love for you to visualize or to think of an area in your life where you would love to feel more confident,
More secure of your abilities,
More within your power.
Visualize and think of that area in your life.
Now for many of us that may,
For instance,
Be our professional life.
It can be what we bring into our relationships,
It can be academia,
Student life.
So visualize that area in your life where you want to feel more confident.
And as you sit or lie in a grounded,
Comfortable position,
Present here with us,
Repeat these following affirmations or simply listen to them.
Whatever works best for you.
Try to feel them.
Feel them within your body.
I am capable of great things.
My perspective matters.
My life's experience is rich and valuable.
Really good at what I do.
My knowledge grows daily.
I bring value to those around me.
I bring knowledge into this world.
I really know my stuff.
And we will go one more time with these affirmations.
And this time really try to feel how does it feel to say these things.
What does it bring up within you?
I am capable of great things.
My perspective matters.
My life's experience is rich and valuable.
Really good at what I do.
My knowledge grows daily.
I bring value to those around me.
I bring knowledge into this world.
I really know my stuff.
Now if there is any affirmation that particularly resonated with you,
Or an affirmation that came up as you heard the ones before,
Spend now the next minute repeating it for yourself.
Repeat the one that wakes up something inside you,
Wakes up that power,
Puts that smile of confidence on your face.
And sit with it.
And so with the next in-breath,
As you bask in this feeling,
In this feeling,
Feeling of confidence,
Of self-assurance that exists within you at all times,
Let's bring you back.
Let's bring you back to this moment.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Now this feeling,
This feeling you have just fostered within you,
You have created yourself,
This feeling is always there.
It's always accessible.
It is within you.
Now if there is one affirmation that really stuck with you,
Repeat it throughout the day.
Let it be your mantra.
And for best prolonged feeling and growing of this confidence molecule within you,
I encourage you,
Listen to this every morning.
It will change your life.
Because you will come to the realization that this power is within you and the stories we tell ourselves are not us.
So with that in mind,
I invite you to open your eyes,
To give a little thank you to yourself.
You can smile,
Thank yourself for taking this moment this morning.
And I wish you a wonderful day filled with power,
Self-assurance,
Confidence in yourself.
Because you can do it.
Have a lovely grounded and powerful day.
Bye.
