Welcome to our mindful breathing meditation.
Thank you for finding this moment right now in your day and doing something beautiful for your inner peace and balance.
We'll begin today by coming into a comfortable seated position with your back straight and your hands rested on your knees or your lap.
I'd like you to gently close your eyes and take a nice slow deep breath in.
Notice the breath coming in and the breath going out.
With each inhalation and exhalation allow yourself to become more relaxed,
More comfortable,
More at peace.
Not controlling or manipulating the breath in any way,
Just noticing as it enters through your nose and moves all the way down to your belly and back out again.
Allow your body to become still now as you focus your attention inward.
Just breathing in and breathing out.
If thoughts come in as they always do,
Acknowledge the thoughts without judgment and let them go.
Let them drift away like clouds floating across the sky.
And gently bring your awareness back to your breath,
Back to your breathing,
Back to the present moment.
So breathe in and let it go.
Letting your full awareness beyond the breath as it comes in and as it goes out.
Noticing the familiar rhythm of the breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Continue to breathe this way.
I'll mind the time and at the end you'll hear me ring a soft bell to indicate it's time to come back to the sound of my voice.
I'll remind you of the sound of my voice.

Slowly come back to the sound of my voice.
Keeping your eyes closed for just a little while longer,
Take a moment to notice how you are feeling.
And if you like,
Offer gratitude for this time you've taken for yourself.
To be quiet,
To breathe and to bring yourself back to balance.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
