Welcome to this calming guided meditation.
This short guided meditation is designed to help you soothe and regulate your nervous system.
Giving you the opportunity to melt into a moment of calm.
Great for moments when you're feeling a little anxious,
Overwhelmed or just whenever you want to welcome a wave of calm into your body and mind.
This meditation can be used any time of day or night.
Whenever you are feeling like you want to take a moment to pause and pour some love into your nervous system.
Before we begin,
I invite you to take a moment to either find a comfortable seated position or you can lie down if you prefer.
From there you may begin to close down the eyes as you start to bring your focus inward.
Breathing in and out through the nose.
Now start to slow down your breathing.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly,
Mindfully,
Completely.
Releasing any tension from your body.
You may now wish to place one hand on the heart,
One hand on the tummy,
Connecting to the heart,
The body and the breath.
From there take a deep breath in through the nose and a slow exhale out the mouth.
Feel that wonderful release.
Once again,
Deep inhale through the nose,
Inviting in a gentle wave of calm.
And as you exhale,
Feel that lovely release.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale calm.
Exhale release.
Once more,
Inhale calm.
And exhale,
Savour that final release.
And as you let your breath settle into its own natural pattern,
Start to bring your awareness to the crown of the head.
As you feel a gentle wave of calm washing over you.
Massaging your scalp,
The entire head,
The temples,
The forehead,
The jaw.
All of the muscles in the face starting to relax.
Now feel that wave of calm moving down your neck,
Shoulders,
Both arms,
All of the fingertips.
The tension is now melting away.
Now feel that wave of calm washing over your chest,
Down to the tummy.
And now the entire back.
Feel that sense of relaxation travelling down the spine.
Releasing any knots,
Any tension from the back of the body.
Breathe deep and feel that sense of peace as you continue to surrender to this release.
Feel that healing wave of calm moving down to the hips,
Thighs,
The knees and calves.
Eventually arriving at the feet and all ten toes.
The entire body is now feeling completely relaxed.
Surrendering to this peaceful wave of calm.
Savouring this full body massage.
Endless waves of calm floating peacefully in this crystal clear sea of calm.
With the body now fully relaxed and the nervous system feeling calm.
Bring your focus inward to the mind.
And if any thoughts arise,
Simply let them float by.
Let them be.
Just breathe deep as you let any thoughts float across this calming sea.
Simply observing as any thoughts,
Worries,
Tension or stress begins to dissolve away.
Dissolving into this peaceful sea of calm.
Feel yourself becoming one with this sea of calm.
Dissolving into this soothing ocean of calm.
Resting in stillness.
Feeling a deep sweet sense of relaxation washing over you.
Calming your nervous system,
Body and mind.
And as you savour these last few moments of this guided meditation.
Just know that you can always access and dive into this gentle healing ocean of calm whenever you need to.
This soothing space is always available to you.
Now slowly starting to bring your awareness back to the body.
Gently wiggling fingers and toes.
Taking a final deep breath in through the nose.
And a slow exhale out the mouth.
Gently blinking the eyes open in your own time.
As you return to your surroundings and the space around you.
Your nervous system is now feeling balanced and at ease.
Let calm be your anchor.
A safe space.
A soothing space.
A place that you can return to whenever you need support.
