Hi,

It's Katie from Awaken Freedom here.

I'm a certified clinical EFT practitioner and mentor.

So what is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Techniques or tapping is a powerful stress reduction tool that allows people to honor their truth,

Process their difficult emotions and memories and create real and lasting change.

EFT is backed by over 10 years of global clinical research indicating its efficacy.

The EFT that I use is the same EFT used in clinical trials.

EFT empowers people with a healthy coping mechanism between sessions as well.

As we know the difficult stuff doesn't always wait for the moment when you're with your safe person in session.

Our amygdala is constantly scanning the horizon for threats and when we see a similar set of cues to ones that have caused us pain and hurt in the past,

Our body sends us into our stress response to ensure we can escape crisis and survive.

However when we tap we're sending a signal directly to the amygdala turning off the stress response.

This allows us to work through our really hard stuff without being re-traumatized.

We are telling our brains that we're safe in the moment and deactivating that neural bundle that says this set of cues means danger.

EFT is a somatic technique it addresses both our body and mind.

Dr.

Bessel van de Kolk trauma expert taught us that our bodies have a physiological response to trauma.

These reactions and changes can become encoded in the viscera and require techniques that engage the safety system of the brain before trying to promote new thinking.

EFT is also known for more rapid results.

After one hour of EFT cortisol levels are dropping by 43%.

EFT's results are retained and the improvements have longevity.

In clinical testing after six hours of EFT 90% of participants with PTSD no longer registered on the PTSD scale compared to only 4% in the standard care group.

After six months 86% who received EFT remained in remission and 80% at the 12 month follow-up.

The references for these can be found in the link in my profile.

EFT puts the power literally back into your hands as a healthy tool and coping mechanism to use yourself as well as an as being an evidence-based safe trauma informed way to process our big stuff in session.

I look forward to being on the journey with you.
