
EFT Tapping - I Can't Get To Or Back To Sleep

It's always harder at night. If you're struggling with getting to sleep/falling back to sleep, this track is designed to help acknowledge where you are & find relief before a tapping meditation. I cover racing thoughts that keep us awake, anxious energy in the body, panic around needing to figure it out or not being able to see a way out & panic about not getting enough sleep for the next day. I finish with a meditation to bring a sense of safety, gentle warm sun to your face to light up the dark.

Welcome.
We're tapping for those times when we struggle to get back to sleep.
As always,

I'm noticing this panicked feeling in my body.
This panic,

Now we're going to move to that I can't get back to sleep.
Feeling all this panic.
I need to sleep for tomorrow and I can't get back to sleep.

I'm panicking that I can't sleep.

What we're going to do now is we're going to move to a technique where you touch and breathe.
We're not doing the energetic tapping on the points at the moment.
We're just going to gently put our fingers and put pressure on that acupressure point but without tapping we're going to press and hold it while we say our words before we move on to the next point.
We're not going to use a setup statement here.
This is part of the process that I call packing away so that we can pack all of this stuff up to be able to get to sleep.
Now that we've acknowledged how we feel we're going to pack away so that we can get some sleep.
Coming up to eyebrow.
I'm choosing to move everything with outstanding intensity.
It's all going into the box.
In my mind's eye I can see everything that's causing me this panic to go into the box.
I don't have to do anything else with it right now.
I'm just moving it in my mind's eye all into that box.
I'm sealing it up.
I'm noticing how I seal up my box.
I'm noticing where I want to put it.
Packing it all away.
So all going into the box now.
So leaving my body and going into the box.
All this intensity is going into the box.
It's all going to be safe there.
I can come back to it if I want to.
I'm not pushing it down.
I'm just packing it away.
I'm just noticing everything is safely packed away in that box now and the box is sealed up.
I'm now putting the box somewhere safe.
So I want you to work out where it's safe for you that's not under your bed,
Not in your body and put that box somewhere safe for you now in your mind's eye.
Moving it to a closet,
To buried in the sand,
Wherever feels safe for you.
Move that box and place it there now in your mind's eye.
Moving to the next point.
Taking a few nice deep breaths.
Just putting pressure on those acupressure points.
Right now I'm moving on with the rest of my evening.
I can feel a deep sense of calm.
As I imagine standing in the grass.
The earth is warm,
Safe and soft and I decide to lie down.
The sun is on my face.
It's warm but not too hot,
Just right.
Comfortable and as I take a deep breath I feel a deep sense of calm.
It's coming in directly in through the top of my head.
Warm like the sun.
It's relaxing and soothing.
You can choose a color for it if you'd like to.
I'm going to use gold here but change your color as required.
Just no black.
It's a beautiful golden light.
As it moves in through the top of my head I can feel it gently releasing any tension in my neck and my jaw.
It's coming slowly down into my shoulders.
It's releasing any remaining tension in my shoulders.
I'm noticing this beautiful sense of sun and warmth and this beautiful golden light.
It's moving through every single cell.
It's coming gently down through my arms.
It's coming all the way into the fingertips.
I'm really aware of where I can feel this golden light in my body as it moves gently from my shoulders into my chest and into my heart space.
And as I take a deep breath I notice that I can breathe more easily.
This beautiful golden shimmering light leaves me with a deep sense of peace and calm.
As I take another deep breath this beautiful golden light moves down through my gut into my hips cleansing,
Clearing,
Letting go of anything that no longer serves me.
I'm noticing I'm feeling even more relaxed and calm.
As it starts to make its way into my legs I'm feeling calm and relaxed.
It comes slowly down into my knees.
Every single cell is shimmying with this beautiful golden light as it makes its way into my feet and all the way into the tips of my toes.
I feel grounded.
I feel safe.
Every single cell is calm and relaxed.
Feeling ready to relax and doze here in this beautiful warm sunshine.
I am calm.
I am grounded.
And as I tune into my body I notice I feel this deep sense of peace and calm in every single cell.
Taking a few deep breaths now just lying in the warmth of that sun with that beautiful golden light.
Just being aware of setting the intention to restore any natural energy balances to your body and to get some good sleep.
