This guided breathwork is focused on opening the heart for self love and self compasion. Concsious breathing is an act of self love and how we love ourselves teaches others how to love us too.
As you breathe, focus on healing and opening your heart
Breath work for the heart you can do this either lying down or sitting up whatever feels most comfortable to you go ahead and close your eyes relax your shoulders unclench your jaw relax your fingers relax those tiny little muscles in your face and in your eyes and I want you to begin to breathe in a circular motion you can do this through the mouth or through the nose this is a circular connected breath as soon as you finish the exhale start the inhale as soon as you finish the inhale start the exhale and continually breathe in this motion as you breathe start to focus on expanding your heart breathing into your chest and your heart space imagine sending all of this air into your heart simply notice the sensations in your heart it might feel open it might feel blocked whatever the sensation just allow it to be with every breath send loving thoughts to your heart as you would a child that you love imagine that your breath is actually inhaling into the heart and exhaling out of the heart be here with your breath with your heart good keep breathing see if you can breathe a little bit deeper into your heart space on the count of three we're going to get ready for a pause I want to exhale and release letting all the air out of your body in three two one exhale all the way and just rest in the breathless state hold here if you would like you can place your hands over your heart send yourself love send yourself gratitude and when you feel ready take a deep breath in all the way breathing into the very top and hold your breath at the top of the inhale hold here for a few seconds can you feel your heart softening can you feel your heart opening if you'd like ask your heart a question or two and see what comes up when you feel ready exhale and release let's go back into this same circular breathing motion good find your rhythm here you can imagine that circular motion the air constantly flowing in and flowing out and remember to breathe into your chest into your heart space imagine this air nourishing your heart opening your heart cleansing your heart allow yourself this space to feel conscious breathing is an act of self-love how you love yourself is how you teach others to love you only by opening our hearts can we allow for love to come in only by opening our hearts can we allow for ourselves to express love this is your time to feel this is your time to allow yourself to open up and receive on the count of three let's get ready to exhale and release letting all the air out of your body in three two one exhale letting all the air out and hold your breath at the bottom of the exhale pause here for just a moment and feel into your heart space when you feel ready to get deep breath in all the way to the very top and hold your breath at the top of the inhale when you feel ready you can go ahead and exhale and release as we close today's practice place your hands over your heart send yourself love send yourself some gratitude for showing up and for being present and for feeling into your heart space thank you for breathing love and gratitude
