Begin by sitting comfortably and breathe.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and release.
Let it go.
Allow the breath to return to neutral and bring the awareness to the parts of the body connected to or resting on the surface beneath it,
Which in turn is supported by the earth.
Take a moment to recognize the divinity of the earth,
The sacred land we rest upon.
This land has been cared for by indigenous people for thousands of years.
The earth beneath us is not just a physical foundation,
But a living entity that provides sustenance and nourishment for all of life.
It bears witness to all that transpires upon it.
May we honor its sacred presence and greet it with humility and gratitude.
And now bring the awareness to the body and take a moment to recognize that this body is divine.
This body is made up of carbon atoms created in celestial explosions that happened over 4.
6 billion years ago.
It's not the result of a single human thread,
But rather a vast and intricate web of ancestral relations that ripple out through space and time.
Every cell in the body holds deep ancient wisdom arising directly from our interconnectedness with all of life.
And as you take these next breaths,
Hear the calling of the ancestors,
Those who came before,
Those whose names may be unknown,
Those you may have never met,
But know that they're behind you and with you.
Hear them calling you to claim and rejoice this precious body,
This life.
And let's take a few moments now to show respect and gratitude for the precious gift of life and physical form that the ancestors have given us.
Take a moment to give thanks to the sacred heart.
It ceaselessly pumps the lifeblood through the body.
This blood that's intimately entwined with the legacy of the ancestors is flowing through the veins.
Let's honor the lungs breathing in and out.
Let's honor the muscles and bones and everything that's needed for this body to stretch and move.
Let's honor each and every cell in the body.
Within the nucleus of every cell,
The DNA strands intertwine carrying the instructions that shape our existence.
This body is divine.
It's an altar to our ancestors.
Let's use the next few moments of silence to feel into our respect and gratitude for this precious gift.
Now let's take a moment to recognize that this breath is divine.
This breath is the same breath that's been breathed in and out by every living being that's ever existed on this planet.
This breath breathes right along with the plants that provide the foundation of life for all living beings on the planet.
Each breath connects us to everyone and everything through space and time.
As you take in this next breath,
In the mind call to the ancestors.
Thank them for this breath.
Each breath is a miracle,
A living unfolding story.
Each breath is an opportunity for growth and transformation,
An invitation to joy,
Pleasure and love.
Let's use the silence now to be present to this precious gift.
Now turn the awareness to the mind.
Honor the mind and its connection to the collective consciousness to which the minds of our ancestors were also connected.
With this connection,
It's the nature of the mind to generate thought.
Notice each thought as it arises without judgment or attachment.
Observe how these thoughts come and go,
Flowing through the mind.
Continue to let the thoughts come and go without following them or attaching to them.
Become aware as the next one arises and let it go too.
Embrace the freedom that comes from letting go,
Surrendering to the spaciousness of the present moment.
And in this next silence,
Continue to watch whatever arises as it flows through the mind without judgment or criticism,
Without clinging to it or holding on to it.
And now find that place within that's peaceful and still.
It may sometimes be difficult to access,
But it's always there,
Always available.
It's from here that we're connected to a lineage of wisdom and peace that stretches back through space and time.
Take a moment to acknowledge the perfection of our oneness with the ancestors and with all of creation,
Past,
Present,
And future.
Take a moment to acknowledge the divinity of our spirit,
The perfection of our oneness.
And in the following five minutes of silence,
Feel that oneness,
Connect with that oneness.
And now as the bell rings,
Let its soothing sound wash over you.
Allow it to awaken the senses and gently guide you out of meditation and back into the present moment.
And before we conclude this time together,
Take a moment to offer gratitude for the healing and insights received during this practice.
Express appreciation for the interconnectedness of all beings and the wisdom of the ancestors that continues to flow between and through us.
And as we return to our daily lives,
May we carry the spirit of unity and interconnectedness within us.
May we draw strength and guidance from the resilience and wisdom of the ancestors.
And may we always be open to wisdom,
Insights,
Or any gentle nudges of guidance that may arise.

Peace,
