Transcript

Relax your shoulders,

Your hips,

And sit comfortably or lie down,

Whatever is resonating for you.

Gently let your eyes close.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Receiving another breath in.

Disconnect to your body and release.

Another beautiful breath in.

Taking in the support of Mother Earth and releasing it with gratitude.

And continuing breathing on your own pace for now.

Feel how the air expands your lungs or if you're breathing deep into your diaphragm,

Which is preferred.

Just feel it in your body.

Become aware of it.

And disconnect to wherever your body is today.

Continuing to breathe,

Recognizing that our physical form is supporting us always.

And many times it is holding some of that energy that we aren't quite aware of from conflict or turmoil or trauma.

And offering it a bit of gratitude with each breath,

Saying thank you,

Beautiful body of mind for supporting me and holding me.

When my mental capacity might not have been available to the things that I am ready to release now.

Continuing to breathe and just connecting to your body.

If you're feeling any tension in any particular part of your body,

Maybe send the breath there.

Along with the breath,

I often receive it as loving energy.

Just a genuine acceptance and offering from the Earth to support our life.

We can use that same loving energy and support from the Earth by sending the breath to our tender places.

Let's breathe.

A sweet source of life and breath that is sustaining us.

Also will now support us in releasing anything that doesn't serve us.

We are going to get down into the earth.

Okay beautiful soul.

Now we are going to,

With each breath,

Focus on whatever feeling or emotion is the loudest.

Because you see this practice is bigger than just energy that isn't yours.

It's about non-attachment.

And when we release any and every emotion we clear the space to witness ourselves authentically.

So let us breathe in.

And on the inhale focus on that feeling,

That emotion,

Whatever the visualization might be for you.

On the exhale see that energy moving down out of your mind through your body,

Your torso,

Down through the legs and out the soles of your feet into the earth.

Breathe in again.

And the next feeling,

Thought or emotion visualize it.

And on the exhale release it through your body down into the earth.

Breathe in again.

Sometimes it may take more than one breath for a certain feeling or emotion.

So be with it,

Be present with it in this practice for as many breaths as you need.

This practice is not about forcing or pushing or resisting but just guiding those energies back to where they belong to the earth which is the support for all of our life in this world that can transform old things into something new,

Brilliant and shiny.

So,

Breathe in again.

And visualize whatever else is coming up for you right now.

And on the exhale ground it down through your body into the earth.

And for about the next five minutes or so I'm not going to say much.

I'm just going to hold space for your process with a guitar,

Lean into whatever is grounding for you as some of these emotions might be a little heavy and tender.

Sounds of nature or the music can also guide the monkey mind back to center and focus one breath at a time,

Seeing what is present and real for you today and is ready to be released.

If you're feeling anything that's feeling a bit overwhelming you can extend the exercise instead of releasing on the exhale,

Hold the visualization of that feeling or emotion for the full inhale and exhale and allow it to release on the next full inhale and exhale.

Trust your intuition and allow yourself to shape this practice into whatever you need in the moment.

The best thing we can do is be malleable.

The strongest structures on earth are flexible.

Flexible things do not break.

They only bend.

So in this practice bend it and allow yourself to be flexible to whatever you need.

Okay,

Beautiful souls,

Continue to breathe and hopefully with each release of each feeling or emotion you can feel your body relax,

The tension in your shoulders or the neck might be dissolving and in that space I want to say thank you.

Offer gratitude to your body for supporting you and offer gratitude to yourself for showing up for this practice.

Knowing that you can access this same practice at any point in your day,

Eyes closed,

Eyes open with just a little intention and acknowledgement that first you need not hold on to anything that isn't you.

You can allow it to flow through you and back to the earth.

So lastly for this practice this morning,

Beautiful souls,

We're going to do a metta meditation.

But instead of the prayer like we usually do,

We're going to do a visualization of metta without words,

With the image.

So I now want you to let go of any emotions that you have been focused on or letting go or grounding this morning.

And turn your attention to your heart.

Think of all the beautiful love that is in your heart,

The way it's been supporting you since day one,

Effortlessly asking nothing of you,

Only offering.

And visualize what the energy of your heart might be.

For me it is often a rose or another flower in bloom.

And as the petals unfurl,

Seeing beautiful loving light,

Shining and exuding luminescence,

A beautiful bubble of light.

And on the inhale I want you to focus on whatever that visualization may be,

If it is a flower.

And see that light getting brighter,

Whatever that visual is for you.

Just take a few breaths here at your own pace and see how bright you can get it.

See if you can make it so bright it's hard to look at.

Just like the sun.

And as you witness its brightness,

Knowing that that is the light that is within you,

And you have access to it in any moment,

With just a little tender,

Conscious intention.

And with a smile,

Now let that light go beyond the bubble and wrap you and hold you in that love,

As comfort,

As strength,

And as protection from anything that is not love that might come your way.

And bathing in your own tender loving kindness.

Any rough places might become smooth,

Any tense places get dissolved and are now relaxed.

And now you are in overflow.

And now think of every beautiful soul on this plane.

In human form,

Seven billion plus,

Other animals,

Mammals,

Reptiles,

Fish,

Plant life,

And Mother Earth herself,

And all other spiritual forms known and unknown.

And now send that overflow to all of those beautiful beings and wrap them in that same loving kindness you just wrapped yourself in.

I'm just going to hold it here as we send,

You can think about it all at once as a beautiful shining light touching every corner of existence.

And as you do that,

Feeling yourself getting brighter with it,

But more importantly,

Recognizing that love is our connection point.

We all become one.

We all coalesce into a beautiful bright light.

Your light makes mine brighter and mine does the same for you.

And every other soul's only amplifies the vibrational frequency of all beings everywhere.

We bask in the glow of love.

We have another few breaths here.

And I just want you to hold that visual of that loving light,

Your overflow,

Connecting you to all beings everywhere.

And know that this is clear sight.

This is life as it actually is.

Though we might often feel the distortions of others hurt,

Others pain and bumps in the road along their journey.

We are made of love.

So maybe we remember that in each moment and when necessary,

Access our grounding practice to bring us back to center.

I'm going to end this live this morning.

The Tong Lin blessing.

May we all be free of suffering and the root of all suffering.

May we all know happiness and the root of all happiness.

That was beautiful and exactly what I needed.
