Transcript

This meditation can be done sitting in a chair or cross-legged on the floor.

You can even lie down if you like.

Close your eyes.

Place one hand on your stomach,

The other over your heart.

Inhale for four counts.

Exhale for four counts.

When you inhale,

Feel your stomach expand,

Filling with air.

And on the exhale,

Feel your stomach fall.

Continue this breath.

Inhale for four counts.

Exhale for four counts.

Notice the ground supporting you,

The sounds around you,

The air on your skin.

How does your body feel?

Are you holding tension anywhere?

Do you notice any stiffness or pain?

Become fully aware of your body.

If there's any area that is tense,

Stiff,

Or painful,

Send that area love.

You can even envision white light shining over those areas,

Healing them,

Washing away the pain.

You have so much to be grateful for.

Our bodies do amazing things for us.

Our hearts beat,

Our lungs breathe,

And our bodies continuously heal.

We can get so busy living our lives and going about our day-to-day routine that we forget to make time to be still,

Breathe,

And appreciate the amazing gift that is our life.

Maybe we have some bad days,

Maybe even bad weeks,

Months,

Or years.

Yet our hearts continue to beat,

Our lungs continue to breathe,

Our bodies continue to show up for us each and every day.

And now,

You're giving back to your amazing,

Miraculous body.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

I hope that you can take this feeling of peace with you throughout the rest of your day and know that you can come back to this meditation whenever you need it.
