Please get in a comfortable,

Grounded position.

Now close your eyes.

Notice what's being experienced with your eyes closed.

What's going on?

Take note,

But don't try to change anything.

It's natural for thoughts to be present.

Just let them drift by.

Notice that they come,

Notice that they go.

Becoming aware of any emotions you may be feeling.

Notice how the mind becomes involved with the emotion.

Usually there's a story with each emotion.

Let go of any stories and just notice the emotion.

Where do you feel the emotions in your body?

What else are you feeling in your body?

Simply be aware of all that you are experiencing without resisting.

In this meditation,

We will treat thought as a meaningless activity.

If your mind drifts into thought,

That's no problem.

Just gently bring it back to the meditation and focus on your breathing.

Now allow yourself to become aware of some change that's happening in your life.

Some change that's difficult.

Notice how the mind wants to focus on the story.

Let the story go and simply remain aware of the feeling of that change.

How?

Why?

You don't need answers.

Let that go.

What are you feeling in your body?

What's happening with your emotions?

What's your experience?

Notice how your body reacts to that change.

Is there a tightening up or a resistance?

Let that go.

Relax into whatever is being experienced.

Simply being present what you experience in the midst of this change.

It could be frustration or anxiety,

Sadness,

Resentment,

Joy.

All sorts of feelings may be mixed together.

You don't even need to name the feelings.

Just be aware of the energy and feeling moving in your body.

Let it flow like a river.

Let it wash through you.

Simply being present to what you feel.

Emotions come and go.

Thoughts come and go.

Changes in life happen.

Things change.

But something remains.

Something doesn't change.

The core of you.

Awareness itself.

Unchanging.

Notice what's always present.

Awareness.

Awareness of all the emotions doesn't change.

Letting yourself drop into that.

Being that silent awareness.

In the midst of change,

Bring your awareness to breath.

Be reminded of what doesn't change.

Fully present to what's happening without resistance.

Simply being right here,

Right now,

In this moment,

In this moment,

In this moment,

And in this moment,

There is no change.

Now we'll start to go back to our day.

Bring your awareness into your body.

Into your body.

Start to move around and stretch.

Come back to activity.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes.

Oh gosh, this was needed today. Really effective thank you, I will return to this again. The only thing I did not like was that the music kept rapidly switching back and forth from left to right in my earphones and I found that quite distracting. Other than that, wonderful, thank you! πŸ™πŸ»βœ¨

Thank you for this meaningful meditation, Kay. Just what I needed. And may I ask the title of the background music you used - very soothing and appropriate for the meditation cadence.
