Cool down and Reset is a wonderful way to end your day or follow a workout before engaging in society again! The beginning is done in a seated position and if you don't have a jungshin sword that is totally ok! You can just follow with your beautiful arms. Most of the guided meditation is done on the mat where you are invited to let the bones, muscles, all physical elements go and rest into the spirit, the breath, and space. We then build the physical body back in a way we wish with mindfulness.

We're going to come into our meditation now.

So you can come into a kneeling position if that's okay on your knees.

If this is not okay on your knees,

Feel free to sit on a chair.

So generally this is not something that we as Westerners are accustomed to.

But over time through junction,

What happens hopefully is that the joints lubricate,

The muscles start to follow the bones,

The bones fall back into alignment with your center of gravity,

Which is your spinal column,

Which is how we started.

So let's go ahead and pick up both swords again.

You can have the long and the short in whatever hand you want.

Inhale through the nose,

Pull them back,

Show off your biceps,

And you're going to start to do much slower cuts.

I want you to roll the shoulders back.

So you're pulling back those elbows.

Your elbows are in the transverse plane.

Beautiful.

So when you're pulling back,

Really show off those biceps.

You can sit like Yuri.

Cross-legged if you want.

Breathing.

Good.

Feeling that breath.

Inhale and exhale.

We're going to hold here in front.

Exhale down to the bow and reach up.

Down and reach.

Let's get that digestive system,

That gut.

Really getting a nice massage now.

Breathing.

Being very,

Very proud of yourself.

Feeling that inhale and exhale.

Holding here.

And let's see if we can get both swords to go in the same plane of motion.

Up and over.

See if you can keep them parallel.

Now without looking.

That's your brain teaser.

And the brain,

The mind,

The body can feel at one.

Three more.

Beautiful.

Two more.

And one.

Let's switch.

Just because we're going to pretend we're symmetrical.

Over and start to cut.

Inhale and exhale.

This is where you draw your attention back into the back of your body.

Always stay with you.

Really,

Right?

It's you from the moment you're born,

Then you have this thing called life,

A story.

And then to the time where we say goodbye to our sacred bodies.

And we prepare for that.

That's what life is.

It's a preparation for the sacred honouring of our physical bodies.

Three more.

Two and one.

Cross and exhale down.

And lift.

And it doesn't have to be scary,

But it can be.

Unless we stay in the present moment,

Paying attention to the fact that our bodies are really our best friends.

I mean our bodies do whatever we want.

So huge gratitude to your beautiful body.

Place those swords quietly down.

I'm going to stay kneeling as you go ahead and face your feet to the west.

Laying your body on the ground.

Feeling the weight of your body resting the back of your body.

Go ahead and close your eyes if you'd like to.

Go ahead and close your eyes if you'd like to.

Feeling the weight of your body against the ground.

Feeling gravity.

As you inhale and exhale,

And if you pay attention you can feel the electricity moving through your cells.

The electromagnetism moving through your cells.

Big inhale,

Big exhale.

That's Qi energy.

In physics it's called electricity and magnetism.

In martial arts it's called Qi or Qi or Hata.

And in our daily life it's called life force energy.

And that life force energy is a recycling of the blood flow and the oxygen and the physiological reset that we get to experience every day as human beings.

We get to start again because we have the mindset to start again.

We have the awareness.

We can change confusion into courage.

And we can change fear into hope.

We have that ability.

So just feel the weight of the body on the ground.

Relaxing the shoulders.

Relaxing the back.

Relaxing the head.

If your mind starts to jump to the future or hang on to the past,

Just gently like a baby,

Remind it,

Okay mind,

We're going to just focus on the belly rising and the belly falling.

And you can even place your hands on your belly as the belly rises and falls if you want to just stay in tune with the body.

And if you get really,

Really quiet in this place of meditation,

You can watch the belly rise and fall without seeing the neurological direction.

How is your belly rising and falling without instruction?

Does the body breathe on its own?

So this is meditation.

Watching our movements,

Watching our thoughts,

Pausing when we're in the future or the past.

And someday,

Thousands and thousands and thousands of years from now,

We will have evolved as a species.

And maybe this will be normal to us to pause and to meditate,

To watch and to truly be at one.

So the next couple inhales and exhales.

I invite you to let your past go,

Drop it out of your body into the ground,

Into the earth.

Feel how open your heart is in this position.

Maybe emotion arises when we can let go a little,

We're not holding on so tight.

That's okay,

It's totally okay.

The heart cannot be broken.

It's an organ and it's a muscle and those things don't break.

And drawing those beautiful arms over your head,

Drawing down through the soles of your feet,

See your spinal column lengthening,

Creating space between the vertebrae.

And imagine beautiful sunlight cascading all around you,

Healing this brand new body that's had a physiological reset,

Healing it,

Warming it with golden sunlight,

Every cell of the body dropping all the way down into the ground,

Everything you do not need anymore.

And when you're ready,

Take those beautiful new arms and wrap them around your new shoulders,

Give yourself a big hug and really just have a moment here with your body like,

Thank you body for putting up with me for all of these years and for all of the things I've said to you.

Me too,

It's a daily challenge for me.

And when you're ready,

Rolling over to the left,

Feeling the weight of gravity,

Pulling down on your body,

This great force that keeps the moon in orbit,

That keeps the planets in alignment and we just get to benefit from it.

Our bones get to rest into this giant force and of course the force that's greater than gravity which you have in your body which is electromagnetism.

That's what pushes up against us and keeps us buoyant.

Go ahead and press yourself up to a seated position or if you just need to stay lying down that's completely perfect and up to you.

But I personally want to thank you for taking the slice journey with me and this beautiful amazing team that I love very much and we are here for you and we are bringing you Earth Warrior energy.

We see you as an Earth Warrior,

We are Earth Warriors and if you'd like to learn a little bit more about what being an Earth Warrior is,

Come join the Junction Vibe.
