Find a comfortable seated position where you won't be disturbed for the duration of this meditation.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in through your nose,

Out through your mouth,

Sighing.

Allow your belly to expand on the inhale and contract on the exhale.

I'll do it with you.

In through the nose,

Sigh it out through the mouth.

Again.

Ah.

You're standing at the edge of a calm,

Serene lake.

The water is still and crystal clear,

Reflecting the blue sky above.

You look down at your hand and you notice you're holding a large stone.

You feel the weight of the stone,

The coldness of the stone,

And you realize it's weighing you down,

Making you feel unsettled.

Slowly,

You lower the stone into the lake.

Watch as it sinks down,

Down,

Down into the depths.

As it descends,

Notice the ripples on the water's surface dissipate until the lake is once again perfectly still.

Take a deep breath now and notice how your body feels lighter and more at ease without the weight of the stone.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Imagine that a gentle breeze begins to blow across the surface of the lake,

Rustling the leaves on the trees and causing small ripples to form again on the water.

As you watch the ripples expand and contract,

Imagine that each one represents a thought or a feeling that's causing you anxiety.

With each outward ripple,

Release a thought or feeling that's causing you anxiety.

Imagine it being carried away by the breeze.

As the ripples gradually dissipate,

Notice how your mind and body become more and more calm and relaxed.

Take a deep breath,

Feeling the sense of calm and peace that comes from releasing those thoughts and feelings that are holding you back.

Inhale.

Exhale.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes and take a moment to ground yourself in your surroundings before returning to your day.

I hope this helps you find some peace and calm in the midst of anxiety.

Remember,

It's okay to feel anxious sometimes,

And taking time to care for yourself can help you manage those feelings in a healthy way.
