Hello beautiful soul.
Thank you for joining me today for this meditation on change.
We'll be meditating on embracing the changes in life and how we may feel during transitions and seasons in our lives.
I invite you to get comfortable and cozy.
You may wish to sit or lie down and before you close your eyes taking in the space around you.
Just noticing the space without naming or telling a story about anything.
Noticing the light or shade of the space in the different dimensions.
Once you have fully absorbed this allowing the eyes to gently closed or come to a lowered gaze.
Taking any final adjustments before settling into stillness and softness.
Releasing any tension or holding in the body and allowing yourself this time to drop in and be at ease.
Taking some deeper breaths,
Inhaling and exhaling through the nostrils if possible.
Breathing deeply and consciously with your full awareness.
Change is the process in which something is altered.
We are currently experiencing the shift in seasons.
In the northern hemisphere the leaves are turning from vibrant greens to more muted hues of brown,
Yellow and orange.
And in the southern hemisphere the change of winter and the colder times of the year are changing into a warmer,
Brighter,
Longer day of spring.
The first flowers are blossoming.
No matter where in the world you are listening,
Dear soul,
We are always experiencing shifts.
The ones in nature may feel more palpable and tangible than the subtle changes we feel in our life's day to day.
The transition from season to season is a way of reinforcing and reminding us of the seasons in our lives.
We all go through times of stillness,
Rest,
Blooming,
Thriving and releasing.
Learning to embrace the change of the natural seasons or the seasons in our lives is key to moving effortlessly through life.
We may have favourable seasons or we may be personally affected by the change in the weather.
We may be resistant to accepting the change in our lives.
We may travel to avoid the weather changes or we may try to resist the fluctuations that happen in our lives.
However,
When we do this we fight against the natural currents of life.
We deny ourselves the opportunity to change and to grow.
Growth does not often occur when we are most comfortable.
And there are no journeys in life that don't offer change.
When we accept and surrender to the urban flow of life,
When we accept and surrender to the urban flow of changes and transitions,
We are more able to live with ease.
When we become deeply present in life and accept that change is inevitable,
We dance with the flow of life as opposed to struggling against it.
When we cling to the past or become afraid of what is to come,
We rob ourselves of the beauty and ease of the present moment.
Taking a deep breath,
Maybe exhaling through the mouth.
Allowing the breath to flow through your body and mind.
Allow yourself to flow with the effortless rhythm of life.
It may not always be favourable but it is.
Acceptance prevents unnecessary suffering.
See change as a process of evolution.
Take what you can from the experience.
Each season can offer us a new opportunity.
Whether that be to grow,
To be still,
To learn,
To heal,
To experience joy.
Allowing ourselves to surrender to the flow frees us to become co-creators with the universe.
To step in to the magic of presence.
And wonder because we don't truly know what these moments will offer us.
Where can you embrace change more deeply in your life?
Are there any areas of life that you are resisting?
How can you surrender to the flow of life?
Can you accept and embrace this change?
Gently bringing your awareness back to your body.
Noticing your breath moving in and out of your lungs.
Try not to change the breath but become aware of the natural rhythm of it.
Noticing the rise and fall of the abdomen and chest.
And just like no breaths will ever be the same,
No moments will ever be the same.
Your body and breath are constantly changing.
In just one second,
Roughly 25 million cells divide.
86 billion neurons fire,
Sending electrical impulses to communicate with the rest of your body.
In every single second you are changing.
Life is changing.
And that change will occur whether you resist it or not.
But if you choose to resist,
You may find that your experience becomes a little more difficult.
Allow yourself to remain curious.
What joy can you find in the journey?
What lessons are you learning?
What joy can you find in the journey?
What lessons are you learning?
Lean in.
Embrace the change.
Acceptance of this current beautiful and fleeting moment is key to living with ease.
Embracing the changes of life allows us to live with ease.
The boat can't tell the river where to go.
So remember whether you are entering a season of joy,
A season of grief,
A season of light or a season of dark,
Just remember that this too shall pass.
Gently bringing your awareness back to the space that you're in.
And when you feel ready to open the eyes,
Opening the eyes slowly,
Becoming aware once again of your surroundings,
Taking a moment to pause.
Embrace the now and allow your life to unfold in front of you.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
You
