Hello,

Hello and welcome.

Come on in and take a seat.

Let's get really comfortable in your seat.

If you need to lean against the wall or have some pillows underneath your knees or to be seated on them.

All is good.

As we settle in for our centering moment for today.

Maybe take a little wiggle.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Roll those shoulders.

Maybe look to one side and then to the other side.

Any kind of wiggle that helps you settle a little more into the comfortable seat you've created.

And from here see if your spine can get just a little longer by pressing down into the seated position and then allow the crown the top of your head to reach a little further away.

Let's create space in the body.

And for many of us we have our chin leaning forward.

So maybe take one finger onto your chin and gently press it back.

So it's coming towards your throat to lengthen the back of the neck as well.

Now I invite you to close your eyes as you settle in and see where in the body you can maybe soften.

Where are you holding that you could soften?

Maybe there's a shoulder or hip or knee that's speaking to you.

And for now just begin to draw your attention to your breath.

You're breathing in and you're breathing out.

Without trying to change it or adapt it or make it so-called right.

Just breathe.

Notice the air coming into your body and notice the air leaving your body.

Beautiful.

And now take one hand and place it on your chest and one hand on your belly.

And then as you observe your breath still see if you can actually feel the body moving as it fills with breath.

So the next time you're drawing breath in think of your belly button pressing into your palm of your hand as your belly expands on your inhale filling up with your air and on the exhale very gently start to draw the belly button towards the spine to empty out.

Do this with ease and at the same time you can be noticing if the hand on your chest moves too.

Many of us are upper chest breathers.

All is good.

We're just checking in how the breath and the body feel together.

Now releasing your arms and maybe turn your palms up as they rest on your legs as a way of being open.

And if today there's a lot going on and it's hard to be here turn your palms to face down so you can maybe connect a little more and be a bit more grounded.

Remember to keep that spine nice and long.

And now for our mantra for today for our thoughts it's about love but it's about self love.

So we're going to sit still for a minute.

I'll do the timing and hold space for you.

But in that minute sometimes the breath is a great way to anchor us to this moment and sometimes a mantra.

Okay because that monkey mind we know gets in and plans for the future or thinking about the past.

So we want to bring ourselves back to right here right now.

So the mantra is I love myself.

So you can say it as I love me.

I love myself.

Whichever resonates with you.

Each time that mind wanders because it probably will.

Let's just bring it back to filling ourselves up with love.

And even if perhaps today you're not feeling full in your love for yourself.

It's okay.

It's okay.

We're just going to begin to build that love muscle.

So take a nice breath in.

Breathe out.

Settle into your seat.

I love myself.

I love myself.

Beautiful.

Letting the mantra go.

Begin to move a little in your space.

Maybe rolling a shoulder.

Maybe taking more of a twist as you turn your body to one side and then over to the other side.

Maybe there's a stretch that's really needed today for this moment.

Finish with your hands resting over your heart.

As you go off into your day shining your light from this place.

The gratitude I have for you and your practices is indescribable. I haven't meditated for a few months and was prepared to struggle at first but the cool and calmness of your voice put me in a trance immediately. My favourite part was how you eased my mind by doing the time for me, I felt such reassurance when you said you would hold the space for me. Thank you for your time and energies, bless.
