Breathe.
Mama,
Just breathe.
It's okay.
It's gonna be okay.
Come and take a seat.
And as you sink down,
Feel your shoulders relax as you take a big exhale.
Placing one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
Let the tears flow if they have to,
If they need to,
If they want to.
Feeling yourself right here,
Right now.
Maybe you're feeling really mixed up with you didn't sign up for this or you thought this would be easier.
Or you had no idea it would be so challenging,
This motherhood journey.
So deep,
Heart-wrenching,
Emotionally triggering motherhood journey.
It's okay.
Take a breath into your belly,
Into your heart.
Did you mess up?
Did you shout?
Were you impatient?
Did you say things you wish you hadn't?
It's okay.
You're human.
Maybe you're exhausted.
Maybe you haven't been able to sleep.
Maybe you're not feeling supported or safe.
It's okay,
Mama.
Just breathe.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Come on,
Let's do it together.
Breathe in and breathe out.
You are magnificent and I know you keep trying to do your best.
You show up each and every day,
Loving those little and big beings with all your heart.
But who takes care of you?
Breathing in,
Deep gratitude for your wonderful self.
And breathing out any hold of what's not working.
You do not need fixing.
Your children do not need fixing.
When we can get you back and grounded and calm,
You will be able to go say your sorries.
Or go ask for help,
Ask for some support.
Maybe it's necessary to bring your children in to a discussion about how can we do this better?
Even how can I serve you better?
How can I help you better if what I'm doing is not working?
But coming from that place,
That beautiful place of being grounded in the body with your breath.
Breathe in and breathe out.
You've got this.
Perhaps this is just a phase.
Perhaps this is just for today,
Just for now.
But come back to you.
Come back to your wonderful body just as it is.
Your wonderful breath.
And on your next inhale,
At the very top of the inhale,
Take an extra sip.
Like you're just filling up a little bit more.
And then exhaling from that place.
So as you breathe in.
And then sip.
And then release.
Let's do that again.
Just filling up our being a little more,
Our lungs a little more.
Let's do one last time.
Softening your jaw,
Your shoulders,
Your hands by your side perhaps or over your heart space.
You've got this.
You're human.
Be kind,
Kind,
Kind to yourself.
Take care,
Mama.
