In this short Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) sequence we will be opening up the subconscious mind to check in and see why our inner critic has so much to say. We will be creating a bit of space for you to seperate yourself from the inner critic and notice what and why they are there. Hi there,

I'm Anita Kaiser and today I'm going to lead you in an EFT tapping sequence to help release and heal your inner critic.

So if you've never tapped with me,

This is going to be a call and response.

I'm going to lead you through this and you're going to feel so much better at the end of it.

So right now,

Before we get started,

I'd love for you to place your hands on your heart,

Closing your eyes if that feels safe and appropriate for you,

And just allowing your attention to turn inward.

Taking this opportunity to connect with your inner critic in this moment and noticing how loud he or she is.

So as you connect with your inner critic,

I'd love for you to put a number on this.

10 being your inner critic is screaming at you and there are no other voices other than the inner critic.

0 being the inner critic is barely perceptible.

So I'd love for you to put any number from 0 to 10 and just write it down.

And this isn't a written in stone sort of thing,

It's just to give us an idea of the shift as it occurs because we as humans often forget that we ever had a problem once it goes away.

So just taking that opportunity,

Connecting in.

And once you've got your number,

Opening your eyes and let's get started.

Tapping on the outside of the hand,

Just gently on the karate chop point,

And you're going to repeat after me.

Even though I'm very aware of my inner critic,

Right here,

Right now,

I'm safe.

Even though I can really hear my inner critic kicking it up a notch,

Right here,

Right now,

I'm safe.

Even though I can hear the voice of my inner critic again,

Right here,

Right now,

I'm safe.

So as you continue tapping on the hand there,

Just taking this opportunity to notice any thoughts or ideas or memories that might be coming up for you.

These are important for you to notice.

And then when you're ready,

We're going to move to the in between the eye point.

It's actually right at the end of either eyebrow,

But tapping is very forgiving.

So just somewhere up there in between the eyes.

So just holding this point,

This mean inner critic repeating after me.

Then moving to the outside of the eyes,

Right on the bone,

This inner critic.

Beneath the eye,

Harsh.

Underneath the nose,

Mean.

On the crease of the chin,

Always wanting more for me.

Down to the chest,

Always pushing me.

Underneath the arm,

She's never good enough.

In between the eyes,

This mean inner critic.

Outside of the eyes,

Critical inner voice.

Beneath the eyes,

Inner critic.

Underneath the nose,

It's really loud.

On the crease of the chin,

This inner critic.

Down to the chest,

This inner critic.

Taking that off,

Placing your hands on your heart and taking a moment to check in,

Rating your inner critic,

Noticing if the number has changed and just allowing yourself to be present here.

And then when you're ready,

Coming back to in between the eyes,

This inner critic.

Outside of the eyes,

I wonder how long it's been with me.

Beneath the eyes,

I wonder what its role is.

Under the nose,

I wonder.

On the crease of the chin,

If it's safe to release it.

Down to the chest,

This inner critic.

All right,

Letting that go,

Shaking it off,

Again,

Bringing the hands onto your heart,

Closing your eyes and just connecting in,

Noticing again what number you would put on your inner critic now and just allowing yourself to become aware of any thoughts,

Processes,

Memories that came up for you.

This is important information for you to be aware of.

And then opening your eyes and moving on with your day,

Being sure to drink some water.

This is energy work and we always need extra water to help the energy we've just shifted move on through.
