Today's meditation is about forgiveness.

I drew a card for the message today from my Oracle card deck,

And this is what it has to say.

Forgiveness.

Everyone is doing the best they can with what they know,

Including yourself.

You are not defined by your past.

Forgive yourself and others.

It sets you free.

Forgiveness is a very sensitive topic.

Today we are going to focus this moment on ourselves.

So before we begin,

I would like to encourage you to get out a scrap piece of paper,

A journal,

And something to write with.

You can pause this meditation and write down whatever comes to your mind about anything you may be holding onto.

A lot of times we have pain from our past that carries over into the present moment and into our future.

And it keeps us stuck,

Maybe on processed emotions or grief,

Maybe a denial of acceptance of where you are.

And all these things are okay to feel,

By the way.

The last thing we want to do is judge them or judge where we are at.

But today my intention is to help you feel lighter after this meditation.

So write down all the ways that you,

All the things that have been holding you hostage to yourself,

Chained.

And it may be helpful to know that a lot of the things that we chain ourselves for,

Maybe other people may not feel the same way.

For example,

A parent feeling regret for how they raised a child.

Maybe the child doesn't feel that way.

So a lot of the pain we feel can be a form of us not fully processing,

Fully allowing ourself to have felt how we feel and it just gets stuck in our body.

So we're going to write down what we're holding onto.

What is the pain from the past that we're holding onto today?

And when you have completed that and you are in a safe space,

I'll invite you to either lie down or sit up,

Whatever feels comfortable to you.

Just listen to your body.

And we're going to place our hands on our heart,

Or maybe you place one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach.

And we're going to begin by taking three deep breaths,

Breathing in through our nose and exhaling out of the mouth.

And if your hand is on your stomach,

Feel how your stomach rises naturally.

We're going to tap into the flow,

The natural flow of our body.

And in your mind,

You can silently say to yourself,

Or you can say this out loud,

I am right where I am meant to be.

I am right where I am meant to be.

There is nothing wrong with me.

There is nothing wrong with me.

I am safe in my body.

I am safe in my body.

My body is wise.

Things may have been hard,

Or maybe they are hard right now,

But I trust in myself.

And in the center of your chest,

Imagine a beautiful light.

What color comes to you?

And trust that whatever comes to you,

That that is meant to be.

Imagine this beautiful light in the center of your chest.

And take another deep inhale through your nose,

Exhaling out of your mouth.

And with every inhale,

That light grows bigger and bigger.

I want you to bring to your mind one thing that is keeping you stuck,

One thing you're punishing yourself for,

One thing you have regret about.

And hold that in your body,

Maybe even imagining that you're being held.

Maybe you're being held by a mother figure or a father figure or a grandma or grandpa.

Maybe it's the universe or Mother Earth.

But you're being held wherever you are in this moment,

Even imagining and allowing your whole body to melt,

To melt into the bed or the chair or the couch,

Wherever you are at.

Allowing whatever is supporting you to fully support you.

Allowing your weight in your body just to release and allow,

Knowing that in this moment you are completely safe.

And with every inhale and exhale,

The light in the center of your chest moves through your body slowly.

This beautiful light,

This beautiful light is a part of you,

It is you.

This beautiful light is source energy within you,

God's energy.

And as your stomach expands,

As your body expands,

Maybe you feel more space opening in your body.

Our body is very vast and it's very spacious.

So we are allowing ourselves to tune into this vast spaciousness within ourselves.

And imagine with every breath,

With every inhale and exhale,

This beautiful light hugging every cell in your body,

Hugging every organ in your body,

The light moving up into your throat,

Into your head,

Into your arms,

In your fingers,

Filling your chest,

Filling your stomach,

In your hips,

In your legs,

In your toes.

This light fills your whole body,

So much so that it overpours into the room that you're at.

Notice the colors that you may see or the sounds that you may hear,

Keeping your eyes closed,

Relaxing the muscles in your face,

Trusting,

Relaxing the muscles in your stomach,

In your hips,

In your legs,

Trusting,

Imagining this beautiful light of yours filling the room until it has nowhere else to go and it wants to expand.

So it fills the whole city.

Even imagine yourself flying across the city,

Shining your light upon the city and expanding it out of the state.

And then imagining your beautiful light reaching all four corners of the earth and into space,

Imagining that you're in space right now in this moment,

Your body feeling light and at peace,

Looking at the stars all around you,

Even moving your head slowly side to side,

Imagining what you're noticing,

What you're seeing,

How your body's feeling.

And then you notice a big bright star and the star slowly coming towards you.

And maybe you feel a sense of warmth with the star coming towards you,

Maybe excitement.

And as a star is closer and closer to you,

It reaches you right in front of you and you notice that this star is you.

It's yourself years from now.

The part of yourself that realizes and knows that everything works out in the end,

That you're okay,

You're going to be okay,

And that has this unknowing confidence that you are right where you are meant to be and amazing things are set in place for you,

Miracles.

Your higher self,

Your future self,

Has a message for you.

What is that message?

Receive that message now.

What are you ready to let go of?

What are you ready to forgive yourself for?

What do you need in this moment?

Your future self gives you a big squeeze,

A big hug,

And it has a message for you.

And it also wants you to know that you are worthy and you deserve an amazing,

Abundant life full of peace and joy and freedom and fun.

Maybe you want to hug your future self.

Maybe you want to dance with your future self or cry.

What emotion is coming to you?

Just allowing that emotion to be there,

To not fix it,

To not change it.

And maybe you whisper in your future self's ear what you're ready to let go of,

What you want forgiveness of for yourself.

And speak that into existence.

And as you speak it into existence,

You release it into space.

You release it into the cosmos,

To God's energy,

To know that it is being taken care of for you.

Your higher self,

Your future self,

Knows that you don't need to punish yourself,

That you did the best you could with what you knew at the time,

That God put you here in this earth for a reason,

For a purpose,

And that's not to be stuck,

And being stuck is only keeping you from your purpose and your passions,

From doing what you are meant to do in this world.

It is time,

It is time to forgive yourself,

To give yourself the grace that you give everybody else.

Whatever you are feeling or thinking,

Just to allow that and to know that that is okay,

And that there is nothing wrong with you.

And feeling is a process of moving through to forgiveness.

When we allow ourselves to feel,

We can walk through the door to the other side and ask yourself,

What do you need right now in this moment?

If you were your own mother or your own father,

Yourself,

And you're parenting your inner child right now,

What does your inner child need?

Maybe he or she needs a hug,

Or some reassurance,

Or to be told something.

Maybe to be told it's not your fault,

Or maybe to be told that you're good,

And that you're okay,

And that it's going to be okay.

Just notice what you feel in your body,

And tell yourself,

It is okay to feel how I feel.

We're going to take three deep breaths again,

In through our nose,

And exhaling out of our mouth,

And really allowing your stomach to rise and fall with every breath.

And as we do this,

Imagining that you are coming back into the room.

You're coming from outer space,

Back across the country,

Across the state,

Back into your body.

And notice how you get there.

Maybe you imagine that you're a bird,

Or maybe you get there by being an animal on the ground,

Or maybe in the water,

Having some fun with this and play.

However you want to get back to the place that you're in in this moment,

Feel free to do so.

This is a safe space to play,

To feel,

And to experience.

Coming back into your body,

What is the light now in the center of your chest?

Bring all this light throughout your body that we felt and experienced today,

Bring that back into the center of your chest.

Maybe you dim it so it's a beautiful dim light now that you keep for yourself,

Knowing that you can expand or dim your light whenever you would like.

This is yours to enjoy.

Notice how you feel in your body.

Maybe you want to move your body in some way.

Just trust whatever comes to you.

How do you want to move your body?

Go ahead and give yourself permission to do that.

Maybe you move your neck from side to side,

Or your shoulders up and down.

Maybe you want to wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Coming back into your body,

Feeling grounded and calm and centered.

Notice how it feels if you're lying down or sitting up.

Notice how your body feels.

Notice how you are able to allow and receive support from just this physical support of maybe the bed or the chair holding you.

Notice and witness how you are able to allow and receive support.

What support would you like today?

And just trust whatever comes in your mind.

As we come to the end of today's meditation,

I hope you feel centered and grounded and relaxed,

But most of all safe in your body,

To know that we are all humans going through the human experience and that there is nothing wrong with you,

And you are right where you are meant to be.

And maybe in this moment you want to continue to rest.

Maybe you would like to go for a walk or to move the energy around.

Either one is completely fine.

Just listen to your own body.

And maybe you want to go back to your journal or your notebook and write what you experienced in today's meditation,

What came to you,

Even the most smallest detail,

Just trusting that that smallest detail came to you for a purpose,

For a reason,

And trusting in that.

When you're ready,

You can blink your eyes open,

And maybe you have a slight smile on your face,

Thanking yourself for showing up for you today.

And remember,

Everyone is doing the best they can with what they know,

Including yourself.

You are not defined by your past.

Forgive yourself and others.

This sets you free.

And today,

You can forgive you.

I believe in you.
