Welcome.
Let's take a few moments together to drop down from the busy mind and bathe in present moment reality.
Whether your mind is slightly busy with thought traffic,
Moderately busy,
Or totally congested,
Those thoughts are not actually happening right now.
Your thoughts may be causing current emotions and physical sensations,
But the thoughts in your mind are simply recycled stories from the past or projected images of the future.
They are not present moment reality.
So let's take a dip together into present moment reality.
Let's join everyone else on the planet who is meditating or seeking presence and peace right now.
Let's start with the surface that is holding you up.
Whatever surface you are sitting,
Lying,
Or standing on,
Simply notice what is underneath you right now.
Notice all the places your body is being supported.
And now notice your breathing.
Notice as the air moves in and out of your nostrils or your mouth.
Notice all the air that is available to you and consider how infinite that air is.
There's no ending or beginning.
We all share the same air.
And breathing as deeply and fully as you can.
And if the mind pulls you out of presence,
As soon as you become aware of the thought,
Simply bring yourself back to here and now.
See those thoughts like images on a movie screen just passing by and then come back again to what is actually factually here right now.
The surface underneath you.
And this breath.
And now this breath.
And now notice any sounds you hear.
There may be sounds close by or farther away.
Just notice the sounds you hear without judgment or evaluation.
Simply noticing.
And if your eyes are closed,
Notice the feel of your eyelids on your eyes.
Or if you can see any shape or shadow behind your eyes.
If your eyes are open,
Notice what you see.
And now observe what you're touching with your hands.
Notice whatever surface,
Material,
Or skin that you can feel with your hands.
Notice the sensation in the palms of your hands.
And once again,
If thoughts pull you out of presence,
As soon as you become aware of that,
You are present again.
And you can just gently bring yourself back to a point of presence.
Your body breathing,
The surface underneath you,
The sounds you hear,
What you see,
What you're touching.
Always an anchor to return to.
And now as you prepare to transition into the next part of your day,
I want to thank you for joining me,
And I wish you many moments of peace and presence.
