This is a meditation that was originally given by Yogi Bhajan to help the mind release any obsessive, intrusive, or haunting thoughts about a situation that took place in the past. It helps overcome phobias, relationship struggles, self-loathing, or anything you wish to say goodbye to. As a trauma therapist, I often recommend this practice to my clients who want to stop re-living certain memories or difficult feelings, such as shame or self-blame. With practice and repetition, it can bring significant levels of peace to a person's psyche. Much love. A

Welcome to this meditation called 10 Steps to Peace,

As taught by Yogi Bhajan.

This meditation will remove bad memories and painful experiences.

It takes care of phobias,

Fears,

And neuroses.

It can remove unsettling thoughts from the past that surface into the present.

It can take difficult situations in the present and release them into the hands of infinity.

All this can be done in just 40 seconds.

Begin sitting in easy pose,

Tall spine.

I will explain a few instructions before we begin.

You can listen quietly.

We will mentally chant Wah Hey Guru in the following manner during this meditation.

Wah,

Mentally focusing on the right eye.

Hey,

Mentally focusing on the left eye.

Guru,

Mentally focusing on the tip of the nose.

So again,

In this meditation,

When we chant Wah Hey Guru,

We will do it in this manner.

Now to begin,

Lower the eyelids until the eyes are only open 1 tenth.

Concentrate on the tip of the nose.

Inhale and remember the encounter or incident which happened to you.

Exhale and mentally say Wah Hey Guru.

Inhale,

Visualize and relive the actual feeling of the encounter.

Exhale and again mentally repeat Wah Hey Guru.

Inhale and reverse roles in the encounter you are remembering.

From the other person and experience their perspective.

Exhale and mentally repeat Wah Hey Guru.

Inhale,

Forgive the other person and forgive yourself.

Exhale,

Mentally repeat Wah Hey Guru.

Inhale,

Let go of the incident and release it into the universe.

Exhale,

Repeat Wah Hey Guru.

Sat Nam.
