Hello everyone,
This is Amy here with a super simple meditation for releasing anger.
So just finding a comfortable position and taking some deep breaths into the body.
Is there any tension or constriction that you can breathe into?
Any sense of contraction in the body?
Just taking a breath to those spaces and allowing whatever arises without judgement,
Without trying to push or force a particular state of being.
Taking deep breaths in and releasing with a sigh or another sound.
Just letting your body know you're giving permission in this moment to fully access,
To fully make space for and to fully release any anger you find.
If you're doing this meditation you might have anger already presenting itself closer to the surface.
And if you're looking for repressed anger,
We'll dive into that too.
So just continuing with your breath to explore any emotions that are closer to the surface,
Any feelings that are closer to the surface.
Just breathing in and giving those emotions and those feelings space.
Raining into them,
Diving into them with the intention of feeling them,
Really feeling them as much as you can in this moment.
Now we're going to find where in your body and your being you feel that any anger or rage is residing.
Want you to sink in and follow that feeling.
Dive into that feeling.
Find where that feeling sits in your being.
Leaning into it,
Sinking into it,
Feeling that anger,
Feeling that rage,
Feeling that frustration,
Breathing and really just intending that you feel it more,
That you allow it,
That you give it space.
Diving deeper into your anger,
Feeling your anger rising,
Feeling any other sensations associated with your anger.
Diving more deeply now into that anger,
Creating even more space,
Letting it all in without judgment or fear.
And don't forget to breathe.
Creating that space with your breath.
Falling in,
Diving in with your breath.
What qualities does your anger have?
Or would you call it rage?
Is it hard or cold?
Does it feel sharp?
Does it ache?
Does it feel like it might burn you up?
What does your anger feel like?
And going deeper,
Deeper into the anger,
Are there words there?
Are there things you would say to another person or to yourself?
And you can say them aloud now if that feels like a release.
Is there blame there?
Are there beliefs?
Is there the feeling of being victimized or persecuted?
Is there the feeling of not being allowed to take up space?
Or it not being safe to express your anger?
Does expressing your anger make you afraid?
Just diving deeper in and giving even more space to whatever you're feeling in this moment,
To the anger and anything else that feels associated,
Anything else that rises up when you dive into that space.
It is safe in this moment to feel your anger fully.
It is safe in this moment to feel all your emotions fully.
Another deep breath into the body,
Sinking into the anger.
And now imagining as your anger is liberated,
As it's given space and freedom,
That it actually transforms into this life force energy,
Into this passion and fire and zest for life that actually rises up,
Rises up from that space and unleashes this fiery power and passion and purpose into your life.
All the energy that it has been taking to push that anger down is now available to you.
And the deeper you dive,
The more you come back to this space and allow yourself to feel,
The more of this limitless and powerful energy is available to you.
Every time you choose to feel,
You are filled with this energy,
You are filled with this purpose,
You are filled with this passion.
You release something that has been veiling your true nature and your true potential.
Every time you choose to feel,
You are unleashing and you are liberating your soul's truth,
Becoming more of who you are,
Refusing to make yourself small,
Refusing to avoid that which is uncomfortable.
Just taking some breaths now,
Knowing that even if there's more anger to dive into,
That you're willing and committed to opening up the space to truly feel what you need to feel in order to bring in that sense of freedom.
Knowing that you can come back to this space in any moment to dive in more,
To release more and to face more of these feelings.
Just going out into your day empowered with the knowledge that you are able to access and release your anger from an empowered space,
From a safe space.
Just with some more deep breaths,
Coming back to the room and starting to move and starting to breathe naturally and normally.
Saying to yourself,
Be here all of me,
Right here right now.
And saying to yourself,
I am empowered in my emotional experience.
I'm empowered in my life.
